Boy, that work day flew past! Lets try a normal day again…….. In early, no one here yet and I have pics processed. First I want to say thanks for your support….. Bartles & James made that a phrase, I would like seriously to thank you for doing that toward us. There are a pile of mean spirited people, trolls, whiners and just people who want all the attention on themselves. Some say that about this site…. if you feel that please do us all a favor and leave. I know most won’t so I just had to say it. If you feel the biggest thing in your life is to get back at someone else you need to rethink your existence. Me too and my answer is to just not be near anyone or anything that seeks to bring me down… and that’s what we are going to do. We have so many that appreciate what we do in many markets. If you don’t appreciate someone, you need to go elsewhere. Boy THAT sure sounded “mean spirited”, no.. not really but there’s no need to go there anyway.
Hey and let me interject something here…. I made a mistake of pulling up Facebook just now after posting this. I think you guys are getting too puffed up. You seem it just so easy to attack a business as you would some troll. Your comments there is why I just can’t be involved. This is not a game to me…… this is my livelihood …. my mistake on all that was to take a passion and try and do it for others. I’m not trying to make any browniepoints with folks on Facebook….I was there to help keep folks from doing crazy things, waste money and time. I need to be concerned maybe more for myself than others
BTW buys, if Steve wants a complete new frame, we could do that too. All it takes is the dollars
So lets do like I said, leave all that behind…….. checking out this recent purchase, we found out why the fuel system finally gave up in Ocala when they were bringing it to us……….. The mechanical fuel pump had a cracked eay, no nut on the other ear and a bungie cord (seriously) holding the pump to the block The plunger was bouncing around in the hole hitting the so loose it was about to jump timing chain/gear set
actually rubbing against the gear. How that mess didn’t throw apart is a mystery to me! Oh and and a post script to this….. the bungee cord was put in on the trip from Texas to here to make it……….. good deal there McGiver! The initial project was to replace a leaking water pump…. As you should cause your down to it, we replaced the loose chain and the water pump saving labor expense down the road
You can see the wetness on the front of the AC compressor….yep it’s leaking but more than that it’s froze up. I need to call and see if we want to replace it now…… I’ll let you know…. stay tuned……….
OK, so ya wanna see more crazy stuff? We got into the roof of that trailer yesterday pealing back the membrane roof to reveal the pitiful aluminum bracing in the roof We reinforced the roof with more 3/7×11/2″ aluminum square tube, building radius support on the front that was originally reinforced with cardboard.
So your next question might be…, Why even try to fix it? Well, as everything it’s all about the money…….. RV dealers having labor rates all over $100 per hour, the cost of doing this would be outrageous….. Richard was estatic we would even try to reinforce and put his investment back to useable. Without doing this the unit was only 6 years old and unusable. Still, there is an investment and if you can keep it operating your investment can be tapped and used. There seems to be an ocean of folks in this trouble……… doable repairs that others won’t do at a cost to make it work. Hey, we can help…. have this problem, call me……
Now don’t freak and tell everyone we’re out of the GMC business…. that’s not true but if business is all about making people happy with what you do and make income from making them happy…….well?
So with a little good luck, some though and some redesigning of the trailer construction (crowning the roof to run off as opposed to pooling where the roof AC bowed down the roof………… heck, tandem wheel, more aerodynamic than a bread box for fun in the woods I’d have it. Stay tuned and see the saving of an investment.

The interior in the 1950 Ford pu is finishing up The custom carpet, headliner and door panels are in along with the custom made console
We stitched all of it in house. You can do things like that when you have the talent……. The once “jumper” all wheel air ride system was detuned to actually be able to ride in the thing
It’s sporting a late model independent rear suspension so each wheel could free lift or drop…. crazy stuff! Now it’s about ready to go out on the road and actually drive!
After doing a full restoration less the motor and tranny which were supposed to be “just rebuilt” we found the heads needed some real work. It had been dismantled, gaskets replaced but the internal parts were original! Man ain’t that shit! We’re having the heads rebuilt… worn out valve keepers and stems….. no heads cracks after a magnaflux but nun the less the guy was screwed by the last shop who said the drivetrain was sound
Don’t worry we’ll fix it……..
So this is just some of the stuff we’re into….. do you think we have the talent to do a proper job on your GMC Motorhome? If you feel a one man shop who may have knowledge but no help, no more expertice than he possesses……. and only what he can do can actually do a proper job on your coach…. you need a 14,000 pound lift to get a pic like this and work on something in this way No bragging here just a simple fact…. we have opened up and worked on more coaches over the past 20 years, accomplished more completed restorations and have built more 455 and 403 motors than most anyone you can find that will work on your coach at a price that won’t burn your wallet AND I answer the phone every time you call… day or night…….. dangit guys, what else do you want! I’m talking now to those nay sayers I saked to leave at the top of the post. Se they’re grinding their teeth upset that we are here to offer this level of true help. Hey, at least I;’ll answer the phone!
So it looks like a rainy day… it’s lighter outside but clouds loom. Nathan and Jared just pulled in so I guess we pulled off another morning plunking before getting pulled away.
If my ranting sounds self centered I’m sorry but once in a while it may not be a bad thing to remind everyone that this is not a sideline to us….. doing the right thing for worthy vehicles is my passion….. I work hard to make folks happy with their decision but I need help… I need that support I thanked you for at the top of this. I don’t know wether it’s jealousy or someone upset because of what we are doing but as late we have had literally trolls and other internet bullies focus on what we do. I want you to know for sure I don’t come back at them because I just can’t be worried about those folks. I know what we have here now… I know our talents and our determination …….and as Bartles & James once said…..”And thank you for your support”
Another insertion, if you know me, know how I care and how I conduct myself and my business…. that’s all I ask and those are the folks I am here for. The rest that are way too full of themselves along with other profile defects….hey, I’m not normal, I’m under care so relax. I’m just not into all this negative stuff out there. If you are go for it……
