The Co-op, batten down the hatches, pull in the mainsail and rig for heavy weather… Mathew is coming to visit…

There are 2 things we watch here in the sunny south…. well there are also gators, Boas and the everpresent fire ants but sinkholes and hurricanes can get ya if you’re not prepared.  You can read about when hurricane Charlie and 2 other hurricanes came to us @ 10 years ago.  Go to “stories” and find “Any port in the storm”.  We made it through then and our new building being reinforced concrete beams, columns, roof and floor on high ground should be just fine but we will prepare ourselves.

Thursday and Friday look to be the worst of is so we’ll be curtailing work  (hey, I’ll be inside the building doing stuff) but the rest of the shop must close down to assure everything is safe.  Our building will protect from north and south exposure and our back treeline will buffer an east wind so we’ll be good but we’re taking no chances.

The coaches here should ride the4 storm fine, what we are concerned about is falling trees… the east tree line will be evacuated……….  If you’re in Orlando, come on by… this building is where you wanna be and our hurricane party will make it the place to be!

Just so you know we do hire the handicapped here at the Co-op,  I found this sad soldier in a dumpster.. a little crutch action and we have another rolling.. well limping table  10-4-16-morning-2.  Hey, a cute little bugger and as it’s first job Willie & Nancy’s Mac Dash came in white-dash-5  Our shop depends on moving tables so there ya go.  For those of you who have not been aquainted with what Mac McNeal  ( www.custominstrumentpanels.com  ) produces… here is his version that fits into the original dash pad white-dash-4

White face gauges, GPS driven speedo, each calibrated gauge comes with it’s sender and man, check out Mac’s wiring… beautiful stuff white-dash-3

Stay tuned as we put their dash together…

Yopu know the economy is tough when you come to work and see a stripped car sitting on blocks… man, our economy is in the pits.. look at what I found coming to work this morning    10-4-16-morning-4  Oh man… it’s getting bad around here!

Finally out of the old shop… you never know what we would find… hey, anyone need an original 16.5″ hub cap?  I threw most out but had to keep just a few for nostalgia sake  10-4-16-morning-3  OK, I need to get out and start helping tighty up for the weather.  ‘I’ll be posting through all of this.. our building is the safest place to be.

Thanks for dropping by… I’ll give you a bolo-by-blow of the fun so stay tuned…. See ya then…
