The Co-op: And that wasn’t all of it

Page 2 yesterday didn’t happen, I was sweating with the guys out back…….. the beat goes on trying to keep things under control.  Hope I didn’t get any of yesterdays whine on ya….but really, that wasn’t all that drives us nuts around here.

Remember this cool looking 79 Ford F150 we’ve been putting together  5.16.18 morning 15

We renewed everything…but the motor.  It was a “fresh” motor as we were told.  Well, it might be fresh but changing the oil we found parts of a piston skirt in the oil pan….Douuuuuuu!  Guess we’ll do the motor now too!

Got in all the bearing and brake parts for Texas Tux  5.16.18 morning 8  Timken bearings of course, Wagner brake parts with organic riveted shoes and Katlyn hits the bricks putting it all in 5.16.18 morning 4  And you wondered why Snap-On makes pink tools  5.16.18 morning 5

Pure professional  5.16.18 morning 6

Everything new,  she has the brakes in, today it will be all the new bearings…..When you renew like this, you need to look around to be sure there isn’t anything else that needs love.  Jacking the rear suspension up stretches the early 4 bag system bag…..well looky there…you would never see this deep cut in the 18 year old bag if it wasn’t stretched out…….we have a new set of air bags coming in.  Hey, 18 years isn’t bad  5.16.18 morning 7That’s it.. you run into stuff like this all the time……stay tuned.

So today we have another delivery…….JD’s ride is bout ready to go….oh yeah but yesterday checking things out  5.16.18 morning 2…… the Honda EV-6010 starter locked up….Douuuuuu!  We’re slamming a new starter in the generator this morning  5.16.18 morning 1  It’l give us a chance to get the body work dust from his fresh paint….it always seems something has to give us stress….Oh well…..lets see if it goes out….Oh yeah, we need to align the suspension too…stay tuned……

Finally got John’s dash finally back together  5.16.18 morning 11

An original dash with one of our CNC cut brushed aluminum bezel

Unfortunately, the ravages of time and the sun has made the dash starting to go……… The bezel is dropping on the dash……. we’ve got the damage under control but there are issues  5.16.18 morning 9

Hey, it’s part of having an old machine…..looks pretty good for a broken dash  5.16.18 morning 12  This coach hopes to leave today too…….stay tuned.

So we just put up with it…whatever these critters throw at us we throw it back….a constant battle….hey but it’s what we do.  5.16.18 morning 14

OK, the day is planned…wish us luck and lets see what happened tomorrow…see ya here
