…..On the day we affirm that the many that have protected and died defending us are remembered we all will have to recognize this special day in ways never done before. Like I said, this one is like no other. Please recognize this day and somehow make it special.
The Co-op opens to social distance restoration work tomorrow. We have survived thru all of this, our new team will all meet at 8am as before to piles of work. As if we didn’t think the GMC Motorhome was getting popular, 4 more projects of consequence have come in during this lock down. It absolutely amazes me how much excitement there is over these vintage machines!
All the Jeeps and trucks are out of the shop and our rededication to the vintage RV community …….and now reaffirmed boy watch us go now! There was some question as to our focus……reopening I’m excited to get going. Excited to get back to work and excited all of you have hung with us.
The hit counter on this page didn’t miss a beat……goes to show ya folks have interest.
Our rental program was feathered back during all of this but with now 3 coaches offered to rent as soon as we can, that program is busting to go. Just think, no coast to coast driving to enjoy Florida, just come on down! Can’t do it yet but when it’s possible we’re ready.
I’ve worn shorts and a T-shirt for weeks now, this morning a hot shower, wack off the beard growth and long pants …….I’m having a good breakfast at DixieBelles and even though it’s rainy today I’m ready to go. It feels good to have a future!
The shop is ready…. Parts have been arriving all through thisready for install. Almost taking over Eleganzas bed she’s there on her bed sleeping. I picked up another Monster tranny to mate up with one of the 3 Co-op/ Koba roller 455 motorsOpen spaces for work, here is the last non RV vehicle…..belongs to a great friend on mine, we did the interior and front suspension. It’s about ready to go….. Couldn’t turn down a frienda nice last car restoration…….now it’s on to the hard stuff!...and THIS beat will continue! Thanks to all who have supported and helped us during all of this. We’ve made the most of this time….as a friend once said, “make lemonade if you’re given lemons”. Thanks for that direction, we did that.
There ARE many things that the talented fellows that it takes to do what we do……thats fine but we are a vintage RV restoration shop and thats what we will continue to be…… I promise.
Ok, big day tomorrow….8am will mean something…..finally! I’ll still be “full timing” in JayGee at the shop ( pic of him above). So yeah, I have an additional perspective…..heck, I’m living in this thing! …. You guys should give it a try.
My son John sent me a pic of his front yard.………The future will be done outside…..the mobile lifestyle is now here to stay just like “retro” is here to stay too. We have both of those “here to stay” things when it comes to a vintage RV…….and the GMC Motorhome has a bright future. Yep, I know you didn’t plan this but here we are and here is our classic machine…….bout time they caught up with us!
Be proud of your motorhome…….. We’ll see you tomorrow
