The 😑 Co-op: Thursday knocked me out!………

……. All of the work, all the check and double checking, road testing it all comes down to the day to go home………well, it doesn’t have to go home but it needs to leave here!  Every coach gets yancy the closer we get to “done”.

Two such projects culminated Thursday………Eleganza made a new friend in the new steward of this beauty.  A great “survivor” maintained and used right up to the purchase.  This is what you need to look for if you’ve like to have one of these beasts………. Recently used, 2 recent roof AC units, ZipDee awning with torn but useable fabric.  No problem, you can replace?the Sunbrella fabric….any color.  Quad bag system.  Raised port intake manifold, strong motor with headers, 16″ Aluminum rims with new tires.  Viair compressor.  They should be @ 1/3 home to California by now.  Thank you for your business guys..a nice coach, keep up with it and you will get extreme pleasures …….

UPDATE: Their journey has had a small challenge…… No fuel to the carb.  Dollars-to-donuts……the Wix. 330-48 carb filter is clogged……original tanks.  No troubles they have the wrenches…….. Just another part of the trip…..with a carb.

This coach also reached the end of its project. The “Solar Celtic Traveler”  piloted by the “The Kilted Man”……Here’s his latest albumGood stuff….a couple of songs are in C so I can play along with my harmonica !  Celtic performers out of work for a couple of months, hot footing it to Michigan for their first gig in a long time.  Let’s all lift a pint and Shilanchia (misspelled that toast).

…………Yes, this is the road machine with no generator….no alternator either!  All 12 volt generation is solar…… Now they have a new poop tank and an aluminum fuel tank.  This coach could accommodate Forrest Gump!  Very cool!

Rickey has become our brake specialist.  He’s the one who found the lizard eggs in a front brake caliper

A real naturalist. He kept the eggs in the top of his tool box so far 1 has hatch and run off.  I told him to put a pic of himself next to the nest so they would recognize Mom!

The sprung GMC is done…..and you even have manual height adjustment with those spring spreaders!  DOn’T do this to your coach!  The adjustable rear suspension is a fantasy travelling feature.  The future for this coach is sitting ad  billboard……..We replaced the brakes complete….it will run , bring a battery and gas can but this GMC will make an awesome, self moving advertising attraction…

Got a little long winded this morning, listening to The Kilted Man cd, relaxing in the motorhome next to the shop after doing the complete tint job by myself on the “Solar Celtic Traveler”.  They also got some dark Ceramic film on all the widows to help that solar ……  Made me remember why I don’t do tinting anymore…man my bones hurt!

Thanks for dropping by, see ya laterThe rounded shoulder on the center block on the rear brake hose means that’s a 45 year old rubber hose……in you brakes!
