The 🎯 Co-Op: Been away, sorry for not posting……

This year our focus is on videos, couldn’t tell it so far!  Hey, we’ll get on the stick, with all that’s happening I’m finding everything gets in the way……

the lull before the storm, I hung out with Eleganza Sunday.  This awesome coach recently purchased is getting ready to get some big mechanical updates…..stay tuned.

Here’s something I ran into getting Mutcedes ready to rideStarted adding fluid and wouldn’t ya know it.. …the thing started leaking coolant!   Dough……. my nemesis was time…..the thermostat housing gasket was leaking…..pulling it off I could years of corrosion had damaged the mate surface just enough to leak even though it was installed well.  Looking at another thermostat housing we had I found the same corrosion…… So from now on, SOP on all motors is a new cast aluminum thermostat housing.You might want a new one too.  Short money for what would happen on the road if it failed in use.  Zoom in on the 3 mate surfaces to see what I’m talking about.

This project made it to the lift to get its belly ruba big bad pressure wash, descaling the tough stuff, his rust bucket fuel tanks out ….POR-15 on the metal and rubberized undercoating on everything else look at this as a chest wax job! ……ouch! The motor already fitted with their Serpantine belt system gets its Monster tranny tomorrowhere’s one of those critters I picked up last week taking 2 more over to those folks in Brooksville.  You may have forgotten but Google “LeadFoot City”.  This is at Monster Transmission on their property…….cool place, can’t wait to get in with their event schedule……..

/////// 🌋  LATE BREAKING NEWS 🏁  \\\\\\\\\

Scheduling to come but LeadFoot City has agreed to be host when we crank back up the “Motorhome Drag Race Rally” .   Yawza……more fun than is legal on the road, we will again burn up the most straight ahead fun I’ve ever had!  Go search on You Tube ” GMC Motorhome drag race” and see what we used to do…..which I wanna do again!  Stay tunedMan, what a cool place and there’s our babyHome and ready to twist a few front tires!

Wow, did I get off on a tangent there!  Sorry but every time I go over to Monster Transmissions I get excited……they COULD ship them to us like they do everything they sell hey….but what fun would THAT be.  I mean they havta lift our trannys down the loading dock by hand!   I like the cateringRalph isn’t real happy with 2 of our transmissions in the back, coming home with 1 he’s still unhappy….this trip used a little more oil!

Anyway, I did a tuning and road test on this twin bed since I’ve seen you lastThe “tuning” was needed in that we’re still sporting a carb on this power plant…….hey and I’m ok with that.  I 💘 the ole Q-jet smog suckers……i felt with them for decades and know JUST how to bend that spring……if ya know what I mean.  I love um and with a fresh remanufactured on the thing it was a pleasure setting up the motor in the steeped tradition……hey and it ran like we know it can!Man, I love seat time too and this puppy is @ as original as you will findOK, I started this post at the house…..i need to get to the shop. ……see ya tomorrow…….today I ride!……..Mutcedes with its NEW thermostat housing……see ya tomorrow
