The 🌌 Co-op: I won’t lie to ya, it’s tough sitting at the shop pretty much shut down

45 years of 14 hour work filled day……THIS is harder to deal with.

Some projects in the shop work stopped in place.  Some coaches not able to be outside, others sealed up can hang outside.

Some of the most exciting times, our new off shelf aluminum radiator mod. went thru its testing the last day before shutdown.the smeared lettering on the Serpantine belt says the motor is turningNo clutch fan, a 2 motor electric fan box cools the Summit heavy duty huge radiator.  In the pic above you can see the new AC condenser mounted.  Oil and trans coolers are integrated into the radiator.  This mod package should be priced near having your original radiator recorded that is if you can find someone to do it.Phillip played a typical Motorhomes….shorts, sunglasses watering the roof on this massive monster bus.  We’re installing a new epdm roof and repainting the peaked off rail paint on this beast.  Please don’t tell anyone else we work on these things……..it was a weak moment when we took this thing in…..i promise to not do this very often.  Appointments for work like this at one of those “big box” repair centers is a 3 month backup and super big bucks…..i feel bad for those needing work on these elephants!

This Riviera body is getting ready to leave its frame for a “rotissery” note the cross braces welded to the body for support….if you’ve never seen this done wait til the guys get back to work!

See, it hurts to see so many project stopped in place.  As soon as we can come back together we will have much to catch up unlike many who have had all business go away, we have wanted and needed work waiting for tools….at least one silver lining in this.

Motorhomes will be the future getaway machine…..travel and vacations in the future will feature isolating from others in your own powered star at home device.  With such an awesome country to see, doing it in an RV will be pretty attractive when this is over.  Having a comfortable, reliable motorhome is the smart way to travel now…….good thing you got yours before the rush!

Hey and for you guys thinking about jumping in this pool…….line up on the diving board and take a number!  I’m hazy with mine.

But as it is with most mechanics stuff, I’ve been living for 2 weeks with no running water…….YOU COULD BE A REDNECK……. If you flush your toilet with water from a gallon coolant jug!gonna see if I can fix that today!

Hey but it’s all good and JayGee is keeping me safe, comfortable and we’ll fed…….what a trusted friendyou should be so lucky!

Ok, enough for now, it took a day to muster up the enthusiasm to plunk here…….hard to sit when you’ve been running for so long……this too will pass and we’ll be once again buried with work when the doors open.

Let’s all be cool through this…..go hug your motorhome, you won’t need a mask or gloves!  See you tomorrow……..
