Kansas 🎶 “Dust in the wind” in the background……. it’s true….you and I come and go while our beloved GMC’s are forever…other than fire and crashes! We are stewards of this time machine and what you accomplished with your assets over the years says wether you did your best as the Cub Scout motto demands.
So for a life well lived in the GMC community take an effort of 2…..you and your coach!
As soon as I finish breakfasts finest I’d like to tell you about one of these relationships an a life well lived. I’ll be back in a bit…
Boy…that bit TOOK a bit!…… Soory but it took 2 days to get with my pics to get these together.
So the life well lived I’m singling out right now is of Kerry Tandy. Those that knew “Bwartz”Boy, that’s an oldpic…there’s my sons 62 Lincoln! Kerry, that rear bath Royale, his Saturn towd and Google
Kerry passed away in Miama Florida a week ago after some pretty bad health issues. Leanne is still with us with here sister in Miami but I will say that team was a real force.
Like Forest Gump he went coast-to-coast making every Intl and many Western States rallies for many years.
That Royale had a 502 Chevy crate motor with factory fuel injection when everyone though fuel injection was a waste of money…..Kerry knew! And being on the beta test program for the hi-tech at the time KVH “Datastorm” mobile satellite system, Kerry was the first one to set up a “hot spot” at a GMC rally….was pretty weak but it worked!
Kerry’s coach is in Merkel Texas, been sitting for a bit but soon it will be available as a core with more…… Has the prototype for today’s quad bag system and that motor….the Dyno Shop in San Diego put it in….actually he wore 1 502 out and they dropped in a second one, no problem with the first…they just ran it out!
Those of you who knew Kerry, take a minute and think about the times you were with him and know he fulfilled his commitment and did things right.
Gonna miss ya Kerry, say hey to Google for me……….
