The ☔ Co-op: (UPDATED) A day off in the rain……..

…….. Tomorrow being the longest day of the year and the start of the “wetm down and burnm” summer in Florida…….this is NOT why we live here!  Spending so much energy at the shop, I’ve been a bad steward to my back yard…….the ground has started to revert back to the early vegetation………..or I could say I’m cultivating Sawgrass but there it ishas a certain beauty……im gonna keep saying that and maybe I’ll start believing that?

Anyway, the beat goes on at the shop….. Cleaning up that cracked intake……..  Please listen….. If this is the only crack on your 455 or 403 motor……. installing 2 stainless steel block off plates and glue down a fiber gasket……doing away with the ole tin turkey tray…………..wait for it……….that intake can be reused with no problems.  And that’s a period at the end of that statement!  I’ve had folks hell bent on buying a new intake because of this crack then want cheese while whining about the “doghouse” in the floor.

Honestly, the bump in the engine cover can be easily disguised at a console with those all important cup holders and USB outlets maybe speakers and a place to throw all that toll change.  So I’m in no way against using a new aluminum intake but if you prefer a stock flat floor…… ….also honestly a desirable goal the the original concave cast iron intake will take all forms of fuel injection I have seen retaining that elusive “flat floor”.

So you see, there are 2 good paths to travel young Paduwan!OK, so the intake is back in and I heard it fire up while the guys were heading out last nightOh look, a 23′ Transmode just came in on a flat bed..double back doors…….no windows……..2 roof AC units painted white……Man, this thing is one Heck of a big boned ice cream delivery van!  Story is we’re making a road rocket for a nationwide salesman……to do his thing nationwide in style…..stay tuned.

Ok, I’ve got a load of laundry grinding away, lemme get some clean clothes….. Give me a call if you need anything….thanks for the visit and your supportout with the old….in with the new.  Goodbye Caspro shocks, sleep well and dream about how you got here……..

(UPDATE):  Forgot to tell you guys not in our Patreon , Motorhome Rehab Ranch who were already tickled we’ve got the second episode of our “mechanical review” we perform on coaches to try and get a handle on the important mechanical aspects of your 45 year old hot rod….with plumbing.   See ya later…….
