Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / Thanks for the Ah-Men on yesterdays rant…..

November 24, 2020

Thanks for the Ah-Men on yesterdays rant…..

……and you after that though I got a post saying we “go too far”……….what does THAT mean?  How can you go too far replacing 45 year old parts to increase reliability?  Guess he is one of those unique people I talked about!  Turn away from people like that!

No video last week and time waits for no one….we missed part 2 of the bogy pin replacementhere the back section of the quad bag rear suspension went in when the 4 vertical bolts holding the bogy went in.next the outside section of the appliance is bolted on using the 2 pin nuts and 4 boltsthen all brake components are replaced…..id call this the “full Monty” rear suspension rebuild

With the FiTech fuel injection going in this coach should be is road ready mechanical condition soon.

Once again, this is not a full restoration, this coach may still look needy but the mechanical to include fuel injection, quad bag system, all new brakes……..these are minimums to be safe……think that’s “too much”…… remember what I see someone like that being?  Don’t be that person, prepare for problems on the road….have backups…..countermeasures…….

Look at the fuse block in the glove boxthe coach CAN’T go out of here with that wire wad…..lets clean that up too.

Am I making contact?  You guys thinking a 45 year old vehicle can just be driven and not updated……”here’s your sign”.  If you can’t see this…..open your eyes!

Danh, it turned into a soap box rant again…..sorry but I see this every day….i want all of YOU to see and understand this…….

See ya tomorrowAnd you thought WE were sick!!!!!!
