Tha Co-op: The delivery is delivering.

The word “delivery” may give u the vision of being pushed out the front door of the hospital with your new bundle of joy with the doting Dad walks beside with his chest stuck out.  Boom, you get in the car and the journey begins.

That has nothing to do with a restoration delivery.  We plugged the coach to a wall socket, turned on the fresh Honda generator and the plug coming from the coach started smoking!  For those of u who understand electrical that can’t be!  12 volts DC and 110 VAC never mix…… The original 30 amp plug from the coach decided to short out when the generator started……”no collusion”.  The plug died as many other parts on these thing have already been given walk in papers whenever they want.  All of this is also part of any shakedown…..lets find the parts that have failed since the coach came in! It’s the sort of stuff that cones up.Dee  Like there was 1 window latch screw rigged by the previous owner……  Replaced!  Down to 2 issues on the main punch list.   only install the wheel I need (flemsy ole thing) only after everything on the drive train is done………Our next object of frustration will be twins, the one here part of the work is upholstery…. Taking the old 1973 pads and make then new.  Every cushion has 6 sides with blue piping on every piece.  e ended up buying all the blue self in Orlando and still made almost 100 yards more………new foam, new batting, material and piping. Wow, there’s old to new and the next one goes up on the work table.  …..along with Marco, Texas Tux will be pushed out at the same time.  The punch list on that window is a bit longer.  …  So yeah, it’s working though it isn’t fun……I guess that’s what they call this.   The guys are making it happen, it’s great to have this caliber of help.  …..Drew Jobs dropped off another fresh 455 roller motor for the next motor job…..stay tuned,  we now have 2 motors to install.  Hey Phillip, get your wrenches fired up!

Ok, still an action packed day…I’ll do pics for tomorrow, see u then…….

I’m really loving your daily poses as of late, Jim. This is what I enjoy about them, seeing the progress of coaches along with any issues that come up in the restorations and renovations of these coaches. It’s really eye opening. Thank you for these daily posts.

    Thanks for posting photos, Jim.

I’m looking forward to hearing how our engine pull goes and especially keen to hear the issues we discussed are resolved. Love the fresh paint on the 455 seen in this post!
