……heck, the brakes were fine on my last road test …….. Got back and Jason saw thisI know I said all this yesterday but I think it bears repeating…..if you see a wet or even a resent residue line gere, you gave some work to do
…….
One of the interesting things you can do with the Samlex ACR-160 is really clean up you wiring by replacing both the battery isolator AND the boost solenoid. Ends up that thing is a pretty smart little bugger!
When we figured out the attributes of the 1 wire alternator, who figured the component needed to let the new alternator do its thing would also be a new rockstar component!
Here’s a quick drawing we’re shipping out with the Samlex/1 wire alternator packagenow remember, you have 45 years of good wiring intentions but this works with the standard wires……..the rest you will need to understand. Give me a call if you want to know more about this circuit.
Have someone wanting to drastically simplify the site ride system. My feeling is having the ability to put air into your rear suspension just to MOVE………?my feeling is the system is too important to travel that relying that the 45 year old unique system that can fail…….we need it all outa there!
Of course we still want the option to increase and decrease caster as a driving aid, we break the system down to the simplist root system…..all newOops…sideways but there it is. No height control valves to fail…..just like the expensive complicated systems using pressure, you use your eyeballs to look at a dual needle gauge and bring up the pressures yourself to what you want. A simple system, most any mechanic can follow and repair….all new parts and fewer parts to consider. I want reliability…..and new!
Now I know this last topic threw some of you into a tailspin….. Guys, original systems on our coaches are in need of rethinking. Fancy and “auto” is fine but when it doesn’t work it will be at the worst possible moment…..and you will be screwed! This is a better system to rarely on and troubleshoot……..opinions will differ…..
I think that’s enough to stir up for today….see ya tomorrow
