Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

Don’t feed the Gators!

Here’s a great story sent in by Bill Bagley about his annual pilgrimage to see his Florida Gators play ball.  You have to be a Gator to understand the attraction but it’s there and Bill has captured the essence of what it is to be a Orange & Blue Gator through and through. I hope you enjoy his story.

Black Friday, when all the shoppers are out spending their money, I left Orlando and headed up the Sunshine State Parkway, I-75 and west on I-10 to meet my brothers, Chuck and Ed  in Madison Florida.

We hooked up a combination gas and wood fired Smoker Grill to the back of the ?Rowdy Reptile? and headed for Tallahassee . We parked about 2 blocks from Doak Campbell Stadium and set up camp.  About an hour later the freshly shot and butchered hog was delivered, and the slow cooking process began.  By daybreak we had ready to eat hog A couple of hours later the Gator Band pulled in to warm up before the ?Big Game? . Since Florida State hosted the game there was much more Garnet and Gold than Orange and Blue

But the Gators prevailed 21 -14. The Seminoles expected to get blown out, so they were happy with the 7 point ?Moral Victory.

We all had a great time.
