Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / So yeah, its Monday and the week is already on…….

December 13, 2021

So yeah, its Monday and the week is already on…….

………. I hope your weekend went well, there was much accomplished this weekend.  INE of our missions has to be to get more organised, get control of the piles of 6 wheeled vehicles huddled at the ship.

Go do a Google Earth and look at the shop property, it takes some time to update so you will see how packed we are.  “No room at the Inn” is not a good thing so along with the 31 tires the guys dismounted from the 16.5″ rims….we have to pay to loose the tires but the rims recoup some of that loss.  Compare Google Earth to this pica bad pic shooting into the sunburn you can see were getting coaches out and the coach count down.  It’s good to see Larry….. The white flamed Transmode…….you old timers may remember I used to make the rallies alote in this machine…..and he’s still with us…. Had to run fuel from a boat tank……has sat too link.

And JayGee there next door fired up on its fuel…..man I’ve GOT to start giving some love to MY machines!  “Plumbers pipes leak” and yes, I have a plumbing leak in JayGee too.  See, my stuff fails too!Eleganza is roaming off her leash out at our “lizard ranch” where thank goodness a 100lb. Blue Nose Pit Bull is happy chasing lizards!

This morning Eleganza had to check out a sofa .  She’s just like a 100 pound toddler……she can be happy playing in a box……….

Shipping the big 56 gallon aluminum fuel tank is a big dealthe base of the crate takes 1 1/2 full sized palates then a palate cage is built around and on top to keep the shipping monkeys off!  I’ll show the finished crate ready to ship tomorrow.

we should be firing up out “Mutcedes” motor check out stand maybe today!  Those of you not aware of our 1976 Mercedes convertible engine stand is tagged, titled and will let us actually drive a motor and/or transmission BEFORE we go through the 30+ hour remove and replace (R&R).……..

Another project that’s been waiting in the Q finally gets its renew startedalready having a 3″ body lift and many suspension upgrades already in, it’s coming up for a new drive teain…..stay tuned………….…………  We have 2 recent videos over on Motorhome Rehab Ranch……the latest is about your adjustable rear wheel air ride suspension and why it’s there and the one before that is about 2 parts you should keep in your glove box.  Take a look at see if you have them….. Click on the red box at the bottom of this page.

So ok, that’s a wrap for Monday.  We have an alignment happening later today.  Tomorrow being “video shoot” day, I’d like to tell you about what we do with regard to alignments…….and it’s NOT black hole magic………..

See ya then
