Say hello to another project intaking into our Q

……..just purchased in Oklahoma I think, the new owners jumped in and drove their new baby cross country to us.  Living in Melboure outside Orlando it was a short ride home.

At the back of our Q, we will do our 3 hour mechanical review next week to at least figure out what needs to be done before the wait in the Q before work will begin.

Mechanicals are always first and must be completely done BEFORE anything else is done…….the beast MUST work!

kinda neat walking thru the big house seeing progress on projects like this……man that’s sharp looking!and the good news here is no more դֆտջւհգտը throwing 3 fan belts!  1 belt with a tensioner pulley like your new car sitting in your driveway!  Cool looking for sure but bringing a new technology feature no one thought about back in the 70’s.  That’s nothing but a good thing.

These will probably the last 2 P-30 Chevy drive trains we will be working on under those Airstream bodies.  I know those folks won’t like that but there’s simply so much interest and work that it’s more effective when we focus on the 1 vehicle…….. This was important to me wanting The Co-op to stay on the GMC.  NO HOT ROD CARS, Jeeps or whatever……sure, the guys can do that stuff but I want to stay focused.  I hope that’s OK for most of you.

Hay, I owned a 20′ Argosy once!  They are neat….but not cost effective with many parts that must be made.  All that is not a problem with our FWD GMC.  This is a major feature when keeping any vehicle viable.

They ARE cool but good luck keeping an FMC or a sharknose Revcon!

So a running GMC “survivor” represents 45 years of good intentions……and im sure it WAS quieter and maybe warmer at 30 below but Bunky……. The black paint didn’t cover up the sillyfoam you blew in there.  I had to chip the stuff out of the way to check the VIN plate!  Insulate here on the inside of the coach…..Sideshow Bob!

Like I said…..it WAS a good idea but……..lets move on.

Eleganza is all over this shop protecting us from lizards.  Good thing that keeps her occupied……no, they never made a 10″ GMC body…….Stay tuned on what’s going on there!

Ok, hope your Wednesday goes well…..we’ll be here if you need anything……see ya tomorrow

Yep,  we ONLY work on GMC’s!
