Stephan’s Coach

This is a pretty special coach and we’ve been asked to do a pretty special renovation.  The first part of this coaches life was spent as a mobile video studio for a TV station.  It has an observation deck, had only one window and a double opening back door   Stephen buys and sells antique furniture and wanted a vehicle to travel in, carry furniture in as well.  A convertible bedroom to a shop was a must for him.  Getting a drawing of the floorplan figured we first installed a full compliment of new “T” slider windows.

Next we installed a 6K Honda generator.  Was necessary to enlarge the original compartment for the Honda , the coach actually had 2 generators which makes for a very large exterior compartment on the pass. side (Original LP door).

Now we had to install EVERYTHING into this coach.  A bath module from our donor coach and a new holding and water tank gave him a fresh water system.     Next we built in the main bulkhead walls adding a pocket door to the back area (shop/bedroom) .  The colors are earthtone taupw with mill finish aluminum trim.  The shop & galley counters as well as the dinette table are all Corian      The dinette is a copy of the original early design but cut down 14″ to make a comfortable 2 person dinette, this give still a place to sit but increases floorspace and cuts down on the clutter.

The back doors are probably the most interesting feature of this Transmode , the deck ladder comes off to allow both doors to swing wide — we’ve built this into a coach but was very time consuming, finding one already done was a real stroke for Stephen.

Stay tuned on this project for more…
