Flight of the Phoenix

The Phoenix are the mystical bird in Greek Legend that rose from the ashes to soar again.

Greg & Sandra purchased this 77 some 10 years ago and the story was that because of an extreme electrical fire in the 110 fuse panel, you could walk in the door and right out the other side where the wall was melted away!  Oh, BTW, Greg & Sandra are both Paramedic firefighters– but of course!

Their dream had gotten its exterior outfitted some 6-8 months ago with us and now its back for the interior redo.  I mean, the interior wasn’t that bad

I think they will enjoy their coach much more the way it now looks though.

From this Greg headboard rot 3.jpg (70089 bytes) rotted, swollen particle board, to a rebuilt cabinet Galley out.jpg (67669 bytes)  to a fresh new galley Greg galley final.jpg (66564 bytes)

The sofa is a flip style Greg sofa final.jpg (72357 bytes) with no overhead cabinet which give the front area a very large feel.  Greg forward final.jpg (77716 bytes)  pay no attention to the roll of extra carpet on the soaf, yes thats a huge flat screen TV over the dinette– they like their shows.  We installed several very high efficiency flush mount fluorescent light fixtures, you see Greg & Sandra have a dream of full timing next your in the coach dry camping wherever they see an empty spot so “off the grid” will be their credo.

Greg frig final.jpg (59302 bytes) Clean, functional & utilitarian is the focus on their coach.  The 3 way Norcold fits well in the style scheme.  I’m particularly pleased that this coach came in and I was allowed to give it the once over, you see I have known this coach, Greg & Sandra over 10 years and am also friends with Nelson, who sold them the core.  I have watched the coach go from rags to riches and am proud of being a part of its resurection.

Greg ext done.jpg (67951 bytes)  Now you tell me you would not be thrilled to pilot this baby  Greg driver area done close.jpg (69327 bytes) with this brushed nickel 18″ leather wrapped “big boy” wheel, look out over the new dash and watch the head turn as you motor past impressed onlookers!  I’m sorry but this is what its all about!

Thanks Greg & Sandra for having the dream and the desire to do something about it!
