Its what keeps our classic coach on the road-- PARTS. Its also one of the main
points that set the GMC apart from any other vehicle of its type, there were
almost 13,000 of these coaches manufactured by General motors from 1973-78 which means
there were enough of them built by a major manufacturer
(General Motors) for parts suppliers to
identify as a market and produce parts. There are a few other noteworthy
classic coaches out there but because of their low production numbers, vital drive
train and suspension parts have not been carried on by suppliers thus those
vehicles will eventually only occupy a corner in a car museum. The GMC
will be on the road for many generations to come because of the production
quantity-- now isn't that nice?

catalog of parts for your coach.

We have arrangements with suppliers to
seek out ending inventories, hard to find items as well as cross reference and
new designed parts "Just for" your classic coach. They also aid us in
cross-referencing parts, retrofitting and updating parts to keep our parts
offerings the best around. In that we are a full service dealer and do
maintenance as well as renovations at our facility, we must have availability of
most every part needed to refurbish the GMC, this is all we work with which
means we probably have or can get the part you're
looking for. If we do not have the part, we
probably can direct you where to find it. This is one of the beauties of
the Co-op, we are here to help and we have the contacts to do just that.
What other specialty vehicle has a support network like this? We
can usually help you with the installation, adjustment and maintence of all the
parts you purchase through us. What's that knowledge worth? It's
free when you pick up stuff from us, just give me a call!
Your local parts dealer selects and carries the parts on his shelves by "turn". This means he carries quantities of parts that he has a good chance to sell, its only smart business for him to do that. You can't hold him responsible to have some obscure part at the bottom of his parts list just waiting for you to come in and buy one --- someday --- maybe. This is where we come in, we sell quantities of those obscure parts so our suppliers go out of their way to be sure these specialty parts are available to us. We do not mark up these specialty parts just because we have them, we work on the jobber price list and will usually be comparable or less in cost than you can find but one important thing is the part will be the right one, if its not you can send it back. We do not produce a comprehensive catalog of parts, it would be too long and too expensive to list all we have and produce a printed listing for such a narrow niche market, give us a call on our toll free line if there is something you are looking for. Chances are we can help you with that part, tips on it and even options available having to do with it. This is the sort of service we offer-- not just the part but what to do with it.
