Brakes
You gotta have good ones!
Below is a list of SOME things we carry in stock. Now remember, we carry these parts because we USE these parts. No funky whatchmacallit that someone says is great…..we only support parts we use. No 80mm upgrade front brake calipers here! And forget rear disc brakes…..NO, brakes are a DOT approved, failure tested and insured SAFETY device. Change any component in that safety device and YOU are taking responsibility. Hey and piloting a 12,0000 pound projectile you will probably live through the accident to get blamed! No SIR, we only offer DOT approved and insured brake components and insured systems.
“Correct” Brake Master cylinder (new)
DO NOT install anything but a new brake master cylinder when rebuilding your brake system and because of small difference that some might say “no big deal” I say there is so only use a new Delco style brake master cylinder. You have a 12,000 pound projectile moving through space and Newton’s law tells you that there will be damage if you hit something. Brakes are nothing to play with so do not use a rebuilt brake master cylinder. Can’t say this to strongly! We offer a brand new original design brake master cylinder that will bolt in place– no mods, no changes– the right one for the right duty as good as it can be. $89 plus shipping puts one of these puppies in your hands. Call me when you go to put yours in for install, set up and 3 way flush and bleed process……that HAS to happen with such long lines
Brake combination valve
The “wild card” in a brake system rebuild, by this time your brake system needs this new part, trust me. All of the original combination valves were steel so rust may very well have taken it’s toll on the inside of this brake system “regulator”. Brake fluid attracts humidity, this orifice clogged with rust is no good. Our new valves are brass, a perfect fit. Cost is $89 each. Inventories are in and out so give us a call early if you are going into your brake system. If you rebuild your brakes and still have the original meter valve, you are not done yet. Don’t “play” around with your brakes!
Sensatized Brake Booster NEW Design
Not a rebuild of an old design booster with a softer spring……….this is a NEW booster. No core charge….keep that old thing! I don’t want anyone else to have to deal with it!. A higher pressure output for the input pressure, that’s a sensitized booster. Many times used in handicapped application where pushing the pedal hard may not be an option. If you have bad brakes, this will make you bad brakes work faster…..badly! You must have a properly maintained and adjusted brake system complete to get the use out of a sensitized booster. R&R bolt in to original $299
Brake hose set, teflon braided
New– For you– the motorhome buying public– no, this is not snake oil, even though you may mistake them for snakes! You are looking at a complete set of teflon braided stainless, UV and oil coated covered brake hoses (the units you will get will have a shaded dark UV coating)– front & rear (now black sleeve covered). How much? Front telfon lined, braided stainless with a UV barrier is $63 each….rear hoses supply both wheels on one side for $74 each.
, it’s all you need and if you have not changed your hoses in a while– you need these! If you don’t KNOW the age of your brake hoses you need these! Wanna see more? Take a close look– these are quality all the way and price?
We feel all 4 hoses should be replaced if you do not know their age. These hoses are Teflon lined, stainless braided covered with a bonded outer covering with end rubber buttons at the end fittings to help stop freying and clocked fitting for a perfect fit. Every consideration has been put into the manufacture of these hoses!
We do not offer brake hoses for 80 mm front calipers or rear disc brake set ups, that is an improper brake modification and we cannot be involved with doing that in any way!
