Scott
has owned his coach for 18 years and had kept her in superb condition. Years had
caught up with the exterior and as much as he had kept her as close to original
as
possible, times have changed and if he was going to spend the money to refinish his pride & joy we may as well update the looks.
Prep is everything so we first
had to break a few eggs to make the omelet!
Body damage repair
and custom body work is next. We are modifying the tail lights to Dodge van
"wrap around" assemblies.
After all of that
messy stuff comes what we've all been waiting for, the paint! Base is first, we
shoot a layer of base then wet sand that before 3 more layers. This gives an
extremely smooth surface for the clear.
Laying out the
stripes can make or break the job so a great deal of effort goes into striping and bagging
The big day has come and the guys are
happy!
The main portion of Scott's coach is in
clear.
The coach is pulled from the booth for the
first time with its new colors!
Another custom paint refinish with another
similar 23' coach coming next.
Out of the paint shop and ready for
reassembly
Pointed
toward the gate & ready to go home
