Ormond Beach DID get a little wetter than Orlando….

………. Getting power and put away the generator……generator……ran only 2 gallons of fuel…. 3 then 2 hours…..was worth keeping 4 freezers cool enough to stay frozen…..im gonna fill some bags with this

Had to break my rig down to take it with us to Ormond Beach………So let’s see what it looks like there

……….. This is a recently hardened drainage creek ……the bridge current directors under it create whitewater heading to the Intercoastal and away from land

Makes you feel you’re up in the mountains. The more the flow the lower the water level.

The beach had some nice waves…. and chunks of the Flagler beach pier

about 7 miles up the coast! Yeah, Ian gave these folks here a goodbye kiss. No power still at the house, A1A, at the top of the hill had power so Surfside Pub and Publix had power so dinner and entertainment was handled then putting out the sofa bed in the “Florida room”, we broke out the blankets last night…….was a great sleep…with candles and no power…… Hey, you’ve gotta look at the good side………. How many times do you get to sleep with no power…….kinda like dry camping in the coach!

A low area of the “Volusia loop”, that ditch needs to keep flowing!

So the usual morning beach gawkers are back out……..hey, me too…….. I took the pic!

Snow its firing up the generator again I guess …..breakfast and a big yard cleanup and we go back to Orlando and make a dent in THAT pile of yard stuff.

Thanks for all of you guys checking in on us. All is good, so now it’s reload for another shot down here in hurricane alley
