Onan replacement PC board
OK, you've heard all the talk about
"keeping your Onan generator ALL Onan" right? I mean you hafta spend over
$200 for a choke solenoid--- right? NOOOOO! You hafta use Onan oil
filters and spark plugs, right? Noooooo- then why is there talk about
rebuilding those 25+ ONan PC boards? I mean, all of the electrical
components of the generator is on this "plug-n-play board, the thing has gotten
hot, wet, cold, dirty and giggled all that time and you are still relying on it
to run your life saving generator? What are you nuts? Sorry, but I
look at the generator as a "must work" device and at the first sign or before of
trouble with the PC boards running the unit, I rip it out and install an all new
board, one with all new components, sealed Omeron relays on an all new seal
coated PC board. I mean just look at the difference not only in the
condition difference but also in the quality of manufacture.

The board on the left is an original PC board, note the
burned traces, it even has a jumper wire soldered to bypass a burned out trace.
Look at the new board and the quality of the foil etching. The small black
relays on the new board are sealed Omeron brand (top quality) relays, the new
board is far superior to rigging up the old board and isn't reliability what
you're looking for?
The wire harness on the old board is
swapped over to the new board exactly, no mods needed. If your old harness
is damaged, we can supply that for a little more more money. This new
board is $155, cheap when you think about being in hot weather with no AC
because the generator board is fried! This board is great, I can't
understand why anyone would think otherwise. I'm not downing their
thoughts because this is America and you can think anyway you want, but for
me--- I want a new board.
