The Finer Things
keep shining through

"The way my soul get lost in you
Steve Winwood said it best with that song and
this coach truly IS one of those finer things! Not a flash like some of
the other coaches we have built and I take nothing from their impressive style
but "The Finer Thing" takes the phrase "impressive" in another direction.
Function follows form with this coach.
(cut-n-paste)
Everything about this machine says useful
style. From it's functional rear ladder, platform
and the double full pation awnings
to it's rear wide opening double doors
you can do it all with "The Finer Thing".
The interior at first glance seems plain--
but look closer
The galley has everything you need,
a 2 burner stove, overhead microwave, sink with pull out sprayer and a fold up
extension table all wrapped in a compact cabinet. The 2 person dinette
with it's true Corian top makes a descent single bed while the full scissor sofa
not only has a convenient console
but also doubles as a 4' wide bed. The back area is either a work area
with it's easy access double doors and Corian work table
but opens out to a main bedroom and platform for the air mattress. The
coach sports an easy to clean, durable antistatic rubber tile floor
ready for area rugs that are easy to change out and clean.
Now lets talk Audio/Video-- Stephen has a
very flexible system starting with his KVH A-5 low profile satellite reciever,
DVD and VHS units
integrated together and tucked away in his overhead cabinet. He also has
an Advent 15" flatscreen --- Yes ADVENT (I love that brand name)
suspended by an extremely flexible "Neo-flex" Ergotron arm. You can secure
it well or have it stable in most any position. Now thats not all-- his
Dual in dash radio/CD unit will also broadcast the satellite or DVD audio
signals and the dash mounter 7" LCD flat screen
doubles to show the rear mounted night vision color camera (note the picture on
the screen is taken at night) or will show satellite or DVD signals.
The dash? Well, you saw it, while an
original design, there is nothing old looking about this dash
Clean, functional and easy to read
was the goal and I think we reached that.
A very open floorplan with it's single seat
dinette and lack of overhead cabinets, several style statements were made to
create this open feel. The blinds themselves were special with their
custom built headers
incorporating speaker locations and 12 volt as well as 110 outlets
This header design set off the open feel of the coach
and if you are looking for a clan finish--- hey, what can I say

And with his water cooled Honda generator
and his power reel shore power system
,
all new fresh and holding tanks with maserator his "infrastructure" will service
him and his family for many years.
So there it is, I think you will agree this
really IS one of those finer things we all would love to have and Stephen has
the fruits of his labors. Thanks Stephen for the support and the ideas
that went into this special classic one of a kind machine. To me, to copy
an idea is a high form of flatter so feel free to use some of these ideras in
your coach and next time I see you at a rally, show me how it came out.
