More on how a delivery goes…..

……….. THIS is a perfect example of a great delivery.  I say great and it is but I bet for a different reason than you expect.  Read on……….

And Lynn rented a car and drove down wanting to hang around a day or so to get used to his new to him coach.  The road test before went well so we felt pretty good about being ready to go.Lynn pulled in just after the wash job so life looks good.  Now, from stem to stern we need to talk about it all.  The test drive…..first time Lynn had driven the beast…… went well though enjoying a good cruise control he decided to get one of the new servo controlled Rostra cruise controls.  No problem……..we had one so we got his car turned in and Lynn moved into his coach.

The next morning Robert and Jason went at the cruise plus a small punch list the road test had shown.  All goodwhile that was happening, Jason started to sort the wiring on the Sniper fuel injection going on our next motor to run.  I will say more wires than the FiTech but that not that bad.So now with Lynn’s cruise control in, he and Robert took out for a test drive……..But never left the lot!  Jumping out of the coach Robert exclaimed……. We have a problem…….Lynn added he didn’t hear that noise on the last drive!    I jumped up into the seat and fired it up myself…….pressing on the far there’s a terrible grinding sound……… Waaaaaaa…… T is that!

Up on the lift……. The torque convert is rattling under load………..crap, the flying tickled finger of fate haspoked us all in the eye!  There had been no sign before this happened……..the only solution is a fresh transmission……..ouch!

So plugging in again, I hopped in Ralph to make an 8am transmission pick up at Monster Transmissions.  They were true to their word having a complete transmission built and ready to go………awesome!..Its unusual to actually pick up at their facility, most everything they build get shipped out so 2 guys came out with my puppy on a fork lift to load up Ralph….first they had to offload the 2 transmissions I brought them…Ralph hates it when I load him with 2……but he does it.  A little humping and Lynn S fresh Monster Transmission is ready for the run back to Orlando..Ralph is good with 1 tranny so he and I took off back to the shop where Lynn was already on the lift with his old tranny outLike Lynn said hey…..we’re here so let’s do it!the guys committed to give up the weekend to make this happen……..thank you guys VERY muchSo now it’s Saturday morning……. The weekend is flying, the new Monster tranny is in its place and today we finish off the job hoping for a good road trip todayaren’t all the pretty colors nice……. Ok, come back tomorrow and see if anything else wants to break!  See ya then………

Hey and remember, this is still a good delivery………you must be prepared for things like this………until tomorrow
