Cruise Control Installation – Rostra

(Rostra system for the GMC)

This manual will help you install the all new electric servo controlled cruise control system that we offer for the GMC Motorhome.  We are all about helping people both with information such as this as well as parts and services for their GMC but please do us a favor– this information was compiled and offered to our CMW Members for they supporting our efforts.  A great deal of time was put into this information for the club members support of us and although we do want to help everyone, we also look for support ourselves and want to do things like this for those that choose to help us.  If you feel this information is helpful to you and you are not a member of our little group, do the right thing and give us a call.  Annual dues are $40 and I am sure will be monies well spent.  Shoot, just to have me cell phone number for 24/7 tech support when needed is worth that price!  Now don’t call me for gas prices at your next exit but wouldn’t it be great TO have someone to call whenever you really needed help?  Enough of that, I hope these instructions are helpful, if you do have any other
specific questions, give me a call and hey, thanks for your support.

Why do I want this new cruise control?
The original cruise control was actually fairly reliable but technology has progresses and instead of using vacuum from the motor to control the throttle, this new system uses an electric servo motor which is much more accurate and required no vacuum or vacuum routing– a huge improvement.  Couple that with the added features of up/down speed change and the push of a button, resume feature and the reliability of the entire system control being microprocessor controlled and you can see that this unit is a vast improvement.  Cost is reasonable and hopefully with these instructions, you will see that installation is not “rocket science”.  If you need any other reason for having a state of the art reliable cruise control– take a trip without a cruise control at all and then give us a call for one of these!
