LifeIsMoreThanMPG.com, can a mess that launch up further?

I think the answer to that is probably not!  Rule #1 when launching a new web site….. don’t launch the rocket upside down!  Yep, I did that!  The new and I hope fun web site should be and will end up being:

lifeismorethanmpg.com.

My IT guy made a mistake filing for

moretolifethanmpg.com

Thank you John D. ….another one of my computer gurus who called and said “What the &%$#$((^ are you doing!   And man was he right………

No good deed goes unpunished!  And so we did it again…. Patroen.com with “Motorhome Rehab Ranch” finally got straightened out so now we have to untangle the pile of wire we stepped in with this one.  Look at it this way, it’s proof positive I’m kinda normal…… no aires here hell, hold my beer….. lemme show ya somethin….

Now that we have the thing in the open….  for a short time point to:

moretolifethanmpg.com

I’ll let you know here when the internet gods have it figured out…… stay tuned, this really could be a neat site…

Theres-more-to-life  AKA:  moretolifethanmpg.com

Moving along….. We finally have “Rock the Alps” on the ground, sporting his new Ragusa screen door, his new “red lines” holding the smoke.  Today we ride!  Andy finals 38

5.1.17 morning 6  Ross V. set out in “Mother Worry” to prove that name outdated….. the coach battled us a bit but I think at last it’s where it needs to be…. I’m sure we will get a report on the trip to the Keys soon.

Chuck S. picked his coach up Saturday morning after a tranny pan leak along with a few other ditties 5.1.17 morning 2  This guy…. when I pulled up Saturday morning thinking it was gonna be a mellow one he’s laying under his beast…. what’s goin on man?  5.1.17 morning 4  Hey, at least we gave him power for his fan!  Jeffery B. is one of those that’s “gotsta kno”.  5.1.17 morning 1  He came in last week with his “Po-Mans-Creppa” doing his own work when he wanted to try  5.1.17 morning 5.  A fire fighter in the Lakeland area he dove right in last week learning about and fixing his Palm Beach.  He had just installed his steering box when I pointed out we really need to do something with the 2 ga. crossover cable going to the rear battery.  5.1.17 morning 3  I showed him how to reclaim and reinsulate the cable which is BTW probably lookin pretty bad in your coach if you’ve never done anything with it.  It connects to the left side of the boost solenoids in GM floorplan coaches from 1975 on It’s a 2 ga. red insulated cable clamped to the crossmember.  After 40 years, the insulation is bad at best.  You need to disconnect everything…. take the 2 ga. cable out from all those steel clamps, put the clamps back then wrap the cable with 3/4″ heater hose spit to be a sort of “split loom”.  Then tie wrap that all back to the cable clamps.  This could save your coach… go back and look close at his extracted 2 ga. cable…..

ll that happened Saturday!  I think Janie & I deserve a day off!  Hey and just like your GMC if you have one and don’t use it you’re wasting money… if you own a big ole pig road motorcycle and don’t get some bugs in your teeth you’re wasting that investment…. We rode the Ultra Classic to New Smyrna for a visit with friends Don and Diane.  Aren’t those matching metallic orange helmets just too cute! 5.1.17 New Smyrna Yeah, those sun glasses are a bit much but ya needm’.  Can’t miss that rigup in a parking lot!  The more I ride this thing the more I get the Harley thing.  “Agianst the Wind” will never replace my Honda sport bike but there are advantages to the thing…. and it’s green!

So I’m at the shop, we’re cranking up the monster for another week of just fun….. I’m starting to give Rock the Alps it’s road legs doing some shakedowns…. Bill will be getting his FiTech fuel injection before “JayGee’….. we’ll learn on both of them so come tomorrow and lets pick up on something I feel could be a game changer for the GMC.  Thanks for dropping by we’ll see ya then…..
