Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / It’s shoot day, we have 2 shot scheduled today…….

October 5, 2021

It’s shoot day, we have 2 shot scheduled today…….

……. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions for Motorhome Rehab Ranch.

Finally, I can refer folks to a video to help them understand what they are doing…….without me doing the “one on ones” it’s taken to help you guys.

That 3 episode talk about putting in a better new entry door gasket morphing into all the issues of the door must all be addressed before it will work?  Have you seen those?  I’ve been able to direct 2 people….one seeing all the problems I pointed out…..the other trying to install a door gasket without getting the door adjusted……. There are so many other projects like this you need to completely follow the process or you will be frustrated.

Replacing window rubbers….you just wanna replaces the shrunk rubber…….brother there’s more to it than that!  If you’re going to fix one window then start with the large windows.  Why?  So you won’t triple you materials cost…..trust me on this.

Now that we have this video platform available and able to react as we can…..heck….”video killed the radio star” ……..what should BE the future of doing a daily blog when we can add moving pictures to our fun!

Really guys, let me know what you think about that, is there still value in plunking here?  Let me know your thoughts……there is an army of you guts coming here every morning to create hit like the page is getting.  I want to thank you for that support and overtly do not want to make us more distant…..let me know.

So it’s off to the studio……or I mean the shop for some blue tooth battery use.  See ya later……

Jim, the videos are great. Keep them coming! I also enjoy reading the pose just to see what you guys are up to in the shop.

    I second Jamie.

One lane of effort is in the “how to” instructionals that you post in Patreon/YouTube, and that’s a really good resource to go to be able to determine the one’s comfort zone in doing it by one’s self (or not…!) and to get valuable hints when proceeding with the DIY approach.

Another lane is what’s going on in the shop, on a daily basis. That would be a great and a primary source of info for those owners that have their coaches in the shop, to follow and see what’s going on. I still check the Daily Pose for that, even when my own coach has left a year ago, just to see what else is happening/being done.

Lastly is perhaps another lane, which I think the “Daily Pose” was meant to be about, given its title, though not necessarily on a daily basis, and that is musings on the state of the GMC Motorhome, the ownership experience, and its future.

Combining the last two into the Daily Pose I think mixes two very different goals. It would perhaps be easier to manage a daily “blog” if it were to just journal the day’s accomplishments (no need to think of a topic every day…) and kept on a section of the site meant for just that: “Daily Shop Update”. Separate the topic-specific posts into another page/blog (Daily Pose, renamed… Co-op Pose? GMC Bound? ; ) that posts only when there’s a topic to be written about, maybe once a week, and is more wordy, more oriented at being indexed by the search engines in order to raise the visibility of both the Co-op, and the GMC Motorhome as a still-relevant platform even today, nearly half a century later.
