(Updated) Its good to see Ruby out camping in the UK……

……..…..There, a decked out GMC is the hit of the park.  A 4 1/2 year project all dieselThank you Cedric and family for the pics………

picked up a thousand dollars of sheet gold yesterday!  Oh man these prices HAVE to come down soon!  Hey but you’ve gotta have it!

It was a “Pet Detective” moment looking into the managers office wait on my gold plywood!

(Update) …………..

Time marches on and out beloved steel 16.5″ rims are proving they’re getting closer and closer to the end of their useful life!  Motorhomes sit….and sitting in one place for a length of time we have been finding the original steel rims are bending causing wobble or “runout”.We found 3 bent rims trying to install new 16.5″ tires on these steel rims.

Another issue is replacement wheel studs are now made with a shoulder standing proud that forced onto the hub it freezes the rim to the hubYou can see the 2 Dorman 610-218 studs replaced on the front hub.  We had to use the engines power steering force to pry the rim off the hub!  If all of the studs had been replaced like is supposed to be done (always replace all studs on a hub if one is broken) the original steel rim would not fit on.  As it is we will be forced to bezel the rim holes to allow a steel rim to go on without getting stuck.

…………………

With the stud clearance and the run out issues this could be the last 16.5 set of tires we will be able to mount up.  As it is we are replacing the 3 bent rims with takeoff older rims if we can find 3 not bent.  Keep this in mind when you need new tires……it might be time to switch everything over……

…………………..

The test sleepover done, it’s now up the the buyer and seller to talk…..one of the nicest 23′ coach I know of….its about sold, if you have interest get your name in the hat……you never know what will happen

Another hot, busy day at The Co-op, give me a call if you have any questions and thanks for your support………………
