It was a wild weekend but these things must be expected bringing a 45 year old machine with new technologies…….intigration……

……. Lynn’s Monster Transmission was installed and a couple of test drives and adjusting the new Sanden compressor to be happy he started his journey first to break bread with his brother in Melbourne…..figured that would be the final, final test drive without us…..kinda passing the torch. So you KNOW I talk about not only the good but the bad and ugly also teaches us new things.

We even “spiked the gun” by removing the Tigger tag off the frontNo, I’m not superstitious but why take chances!I think it was the nose………

So as these things all start…..” The coach was running great……then it shut off!  Yeah, they all  do one of 2 things……they run great or they don’t and they always run awesome til they don’t .

There has been instances where the FiTech systems for no reason simply shut down.  No reason it just does.  Other repair center got frustrated on this event and got out of installing them.  We have stayed with FiTech finding several issues adapting the system to our coaches.

The latest understanding it the new Forced Fuel delivery system answered the issue of sloshing fuel in our shallow tanks….which BTW, solved many otherfuel delivery issues.

This latest issue acts like fuel starvation so all of our efforts have been in that direction.  Come to find out on the FiTech forums there’s a vacuum seal with a too long flange that turns into a vacuum check valve on some units.   So we opened up several units to understand this issue.  If this is solved this could very well be the missing link we’ve all been searching for with fuel injection systems.  Come back tomorrow to see the outcome…….

But the beat goes on and understanding a little more about new technology always helps.and this is where all of this discovery is happening…… Man the rusted up Mercedes has really become a great tool……..

Today we start in on a new project, stay tuned

It’s 8am, spent the weekend on all of this so I’m running late and need to get out in the Frey…….see you tomorrow and thanks for dropping by……
