(UPDATED) I’ll add to this later but i just watched our latest video on Steering and i was a little vague on the end to align woth the cover plate. …….

I’ll be very clear and show you a better way what I was talking about.  Also, part 2 is really where you will see how all the components in the steering system are made a certain way…..

Just wanted to blurt that out…….wait for part 2.

Ok, I’ll see you a little later……

(UPDATE)

So what’s that last pic?To win the space it’s sitting on, we’re taking that 8000lb. printer apart so we can scrap the weight!  So many cool retro/steam punk gear things MUST be valuable to someone!  Naaaaa….its gotta go…..and speaking of going places it’s got to go somewhere else!  That’s pregress!

(UPDATE II)

SO, in trying to stay away from the shop on weekends, I’ve been banged watching all kinda of RV related stuff.  And thru all of it I took away all that “stuff” can be put into any vehicle but the only thing they can econo.ically use are reproduced chassis and drive trains that make whatever they are touting have a high center of gravity, a tall body and a truck drive.  All that cool stuff has to go into some form of “crackerbox”!

Heck, we can put all of that crap into a GMC shell and you would really have something.  The import parts are a solid body and all the mechanical upgrades to bring the coaches performance into the 21st century.

If you have something special in mind for a GMC body, look for a solid frame, as few ding and dents as possible and a basic drive train still in tack….good if it runs……and the rest of the pieces to the mechanical………the rest will already need to be rebuilt and updated so if we have the pieces we can do it……..mechanicals first.

Since in the past weekend posts here have been kinda sketchy……..lets try “The Weekend Update” and just add to the weekend pose so chances are in 3 days I can come up with viable content.  So let’s see how that works……….

And going to the shop as I do every Sunday morning I can is only now to pick up Eleganza for her weekly getaway.

I introduced her to a cow!  I always say any 4 legged critter under 100 pounds is a chicken nugget to her………..sje did not look at that cow being @ 5′ away as a “chicken nugget”……..no pull on the leash are barking….she just sat there looking.  Priceless…….

Pulling back into the shop to drop Eleganza off …..what a cool sightYes, it’s the Stripes EM-50 Tribute build you may have read about in the latest GMCMI “Vintage RVing” magazine.  The first road test done, a weekend at Ft. Wilderness to check the checks and it looks like Ross V. is close to taking this 2 1/2+ year project home.  Go take a look?at the movie stripes…..hit pause the first time you see a full shot of the motorhome…….how did we do?Hey, I was game for adding guns and armour……i think this was the best way to respect the coach though.

So seriously think about all those top of the line Motorhomes you see…..understand as much of that Crap as you can stand can go into a full GMC restoration AND everyone will recognize your commitment.  And you will be comfortable and relaxed…..NOT driving a toaster oven!

See ya Monday.  New videos are popping out on Patreon, be sure to see episode 2 on Steering….i hope it will clear up many myths………….see ya………
