If the bumper fits, you must paint …

I decided to post first thing this morning.. before Emails and all that.  I missed plunking out our woes ysterday morning…. my vampire Doc needed some more blood and that fasting well, it’s not pretty getting in between my breakfast and work!

You may feel Kevin is moving at the speed of stampeeding turtles but this is what it takes to come out with the calibre of exterior finishes we are noted for.

If you will remember Kevin was prepping our new design bumpers.  Here is our first set on RC’s coach Full-bumper-front-2.  So after filling pits and shrink marks Ron-assembly-12 then the 2 levels of sanding began Ron-assembly-17.  Happy with the outcome to 320 grit Kevin primed the bumpers and then more sanding Ron-bumpers-7  You may think the key player in all this work is Kevin… it’s really his coffee cup because that what his motor starts up with.  Now prepped he had to mount Ron’s thru bumper hitch Ron-bumpers-11 (makes a great coffee cup holder and cut that all important square opening in the bumper and through magic and Kevin’s ever watchful eye the hole is sized and cut… and sanded Ron-bumpers-9  Fruits of his labor … Elvis fits Ron-bumpers-14 and NOW Kevin gets all the marine plastic storage hatch covers and yes, final sanding on the bumpers before color Ron-bumpers-13  I don’t know if Kevin fills that cup but I will tell you that coffee cup has to be near his work!  I’m all the time asking “are we there yet” and the answer always is “5 more minutes” but hey, it has to be done this way for the result.

Jay, had a pic of Kevin installing your visor.. crap, pushed the wrong button and erased it… take it from me it’s on.

Yesterday David G, picked his micro-mini blind color.  The vinyl covered panel are his upholstered valences, he picked a light tan to go with the 2 vinyl colors in the coach David-blinds-1  It’s important to choose colors and patterns in a small area like our coaches.  Stay tuned for interior pics on Daid’s coach and how Chauncey is coming together…

OK, a good day is in front of us , many cool things going on.  Had a post asking what I was thinking to do with Miss Piggie now that it’s apart

Miss-piggy-13

I have an idea but give me some options.. what do YOU think I should do with the carcus… with only 65,000 miles on that chassis.. the options are limitless!  Of course you will have to roll up your pants legs and jump outside that box!  Hey, roll back in the chair and give it some thought…

See ya tomorrow…
