All the time I’ve been showing this here at the shop
A museum quality rare vehicle …… really didn’t think but I came across like that was mine! Oh NO! that is a rare historic thing and there’s no price I could pay someone to own something like that.
One of the perks of doing this is meeting so many unusual people. This Commuta-car is but one of an eclectic collection of things belonging to a very interesting and unique person in his own right. He also has in his grouping 2 not 1 but 2 GMC’s. Here’s one that btw is up for sale
no, that’s not a stretched picture, that’s a 29ft. GMC stretched the right way! Rich loves every set of wheels he has right down to his Whizzer collection! Yes, Whizzer.
Man, he is a collector after my own heart. He had the Green Wedgy shipped over from Texas……..of course he lives in Texas and Michigan, maybe other places…… You never know with him! I understand there is a gold Jaguar on its way.
Having this as a fancy, he has to balance making a buck cause this isn’t the Richy Rich Show……over the years he’s just put the bucks in to have stuff he liked ……
No “Trailer Queens” in this motorpool, we had to put the driver window back in the Commuta-car where he had his dog ride with him thru the neighborhood. Cool
the odometer shows like 2500 miles! No barn find this was a museum theft! Dang it’s cool!
Anyway yes, his coach built and belonged to the owner of Ocean Atlantic….a GMC restoration shop back in the 80’s. Their big thing was stretches and this one was their crowning achievement. I know where this machine has been, Heck I had the honor to put a front frame clip in it back in the early 2000’s. Go back and look at the roof, there’s no roof AC units……way back then they integrated the AC/Heat syatem into the interior of the coach and it still works awesome! I mean really……look, if a stretch could be in your wheelhouse this is the 1! Fresh motor, tires and came in off the road snorting and panting and it’s pretty much ready to do that again!
I didn’t mean to go off about Rich but there just so much there! A chemist…..gweze what else…..hes probably beat red by now…..sorry man but ….Inquiring minds…….
But this goes to show you the caliber of folks who gravitate to the GMC. How bout Butch who sold his motorcycle collection at auction or a guy who used to race a twin engine flat head rail being driven by his wife! There’s more and you too should feel just as special. There are only a select few who can experience what one can do. I feel honored too in being part of a group that can produce something like this

Yes, there’s excitement in the air around here so it looks like that push for work at 7:30 fizzled out…..it may not be good to press human nature earlier that 8:00 am no matter how hot it is……hey, your gonna sweat anyway, instead of 1 they bring in 2 Red Bulls now and push thru….. Monsters every one!
