….. This was what happened when I put together this really important things I wanted to say.
OK, so you’ve been warned, you’ve been warned….. Today’s post could be boring to some. Sorry but this page is here to communicate to folks who are and wanting to have have us do work.
Those that have a vested interest in our progress please muddle thru this, it’s important for me to say these things to you.
So no content today rather important messages to those involved with us. Putting 22 sticky notes together shouldn’t take THAT long…..lets see:
I would like to direct these words to 3 specific groups of folks coming here each day. Those that have projects underway, those who have coaches in our Q (I know how to spell que, I just like using the capital “Q” so live with it) and I want to talk to those 7 projects waiting to come here to get IN the Q. I appreciate everyone who has trusted us to do our vest on your coach.
FIRST to those that were working on…. There are 6 of us working in our 26,000sf facility. We could accommodate 20 or more people throwing wrenches but with all this Covid economy, the labor pool we pull from are still being paid to stay home……and now it’s said this thing is increasing! I need more techs but they are just not here!
These are not excused rather hard fast reasons we are so backed up. You’ve seen ports in California clogged with containers of parts….we need rose parts! We were backlogged before all of this, shutting for 2 months didn’t help and 3 workers left. We have worked hard to design coaches for today’s road and taking a 45 year old vehicle to that level really isn’t done today. There’s no president to use such an old vehicle to still excite as much as it was produced…..that is our challenge that frankly no one else could see to make a living doing!
If everyone ate McDonald’s burgers this would be a boring, unhealthy world. It’s unique vehicles like the GMC that makes some of us sit up and take notice……and that’s why we do this.
You are in a special group of folks who understand you cannot go on the road with 45 year old main component parts if you want to be reasonably assured you will get home……thats what we do. And it can be involved……
Test drove a coach yesterday…..drives awesome but half way into the run the alternator gave up. No sign until it went…. We’ll install the better 1 wire alternator/Semlax converter and fit that now too. Another test drive on Monday…..
I guess to you guys with stuff being worked on…..relax, we’re really working hard for you. We are in Covid, we all need to relax and not stress over it, we are all in it and there’s no where to hide from its global effects…..het, we’re still here! I want you to know we are all trying.
NEXT TO those with coaches in our Q……. Remember that 6 of us working? If I started another coach before we get the ones opens up out, our pile would be even higher! We have to get our outflow better. But does not mean hurry the work…..its too important to address even issues unknown. I critical part fail and the entire coach fails. I must give enough energy to a project for things to all work.
Our current coach count on the property as always over 50. NO….they are ALL not in the Q you are in. 4 of the guys live in their motorhome ON the property….we have a GMC village here! Their coaches, donors, some customer coaches here for sale, I have 4 here mine so don’t freak thinking it will be 2030 before we get to yours. Yes, we are backlogged and you or I can do nothing about it.
I was forced to turn away a project in our Q because he wanted me to jump our line and finish his coach in 5 weeks. In cannot make promises like that…..how so I know? Because we’re already backlogged….i committed to you guys to bear with us in our Q, that means something to me. More money in a bonus, threats and stress will give an opposite result which he found out. I have a commitment to all of you and I mean it! I care about all of these coaches and their owners……heck, you are the narrow group we do things for, I care even for the guy I turned away…you are all part of an elite community…….one we only work with now. You are very important to me but again, parts are backordered and there are only 6 of us.
Oh yeah the rent and power bill keep coming which is something we all have to deal with and not moving thru project really….really hurts our ability to do this do brother, if you have brought your coach to us for work….im on your side!
Covid and what it’s doing to our society is a problem. So you all of you in the Q, it’s screwed up everywhere! We are reorganizing our workforce to try and be more effective.
We were a small “Ma and Pa” special shop………its much more than that now and we ARE having growing pains. Please hang with us, no one else offers the range and quality of upgrades for your GMC which is probably why we are so hurried. If you can’t wait I’m sorry but the world is in a tough spot right now and we are there too.
Get mor workers…….there aren’t any. I need more than a warm body that previously flipped burgers……..our workforce is specialized and KNOW many things a regular…descent mechanic may not know….. Watch some our videos and you will see that.
We need you to stay with us, we need your work and we sure want to do it but we are in a big struggle right now to keep this together. I’m personally asking all of you to relax and let us do our best. Things will get better and you will have what you want…just gonna take a little longer…….and I care.
NEXT, to those of you (there are currently 7 projects) waiting to get a place in our Q. Yes, we have projected projects wanting to come! This is a real problem! You guys I really appreciate you knowing we are the place to bring your GMC but right now everyone wants the “Rolex” of Civid isolation travel chambers……excited and wanting to get away its hard when you want it to know there’s a line. I don’t know what to say other than we are trying. Act like you don’t own the motorhome right now because if you get out in it as a 45 year old soldier you will be let down. Coaches are coming out of the woodwork! If you MUST have it now I just don’t know what to say. There’s no room in the hotel!
The restored and road ready GMC is hot right now and more are coming. And wait til we have an electric version! Yes, that is coming! We want to make new electric Motorhomes with the original molds we have of the coach industrially scanned to make new ones! Oh yes, you chose wisely picking up a GMC, they WILL live on!
You guys too, relax…….. We are all in a pickle and there’s little we can do. The guts come in every day and work to get stuff done and it’s making a difference but only so much.
I have offered to help those to get things done before coming here. I will help you or your tech to do things…..im free, it’s the only way I can try and help you with your coach. I do a pile of that every day. If you have folks to help, let me help them do your work.
Bottom line is we desperately need your support to keep us going…..its hard right nor and getting more. Let us get ourselves do the things you want….were here to help….help us. Yes, we have troubles and we may ask you guys for your help in the future . This place is bigger than all of us, it’s important to keep this coach on the road and that’s what we’re here to do.
There is no president for a vehicle to be used this long OR a company exclusively devoted to such a machine. Hey but we are doing that…….and we need your help.
In the upcoming weeks we want to roll out some new concepts for our business to try and service you more …..please bear with us and figure out how to do more. It’s only good for all of us and we all need to be involved for it to happen.

I have another doctor’s appointment shortly so I need to ggo………guys ….we are trying, we need your help to let us do the best for you. It’s said too much work can be worse than not enough…….we are living that right now!
