I’m trying to come in a little early, I have Mac the fire guy McCoy here at the shop this week and boy is he a biscuits-n-gravy lover You can see is big coach hunkered down there in the front of the shop. Mac will be doing a RV fire safety seminar at Dothan you just can’t miss. A retired fireman, he burns stuff in his demonstration so if you really want to see how you can protect yourself from fire on the road…. you really need to see his talk.
Hey Bill D., your coach has started looking pretty messed up .
And while it’s true a GMC doesn’t resemble an egg still, you have to break them to make an omelet too. Here is the look before we started
Hey, not a bad looker wait til you see where we’re going with the coach. If you remember this is the 23′ coach we outfitted with a Honda #V-4010 generator over 10 years ago.
Now it’s getting a new set of clothes and interior so stay tuned, this coach is going into paint after Cal’s gets it’s colors.
Cal’s is still in DA sanding and body repair but soon it will move on to it’s painting process.
Take a look at the new shoes we put on Tim’s coach Beefy….. You might think “Man, those are gonna be bumpy and noisey…. not so, I trued the high nubbies making this aggressive tread smooth so the noise should be greatly reduced. Hey and man it makes for a manly look for their coach
Another point from yesterday’s rear brake hoses talk, here is an early rear brake hose system I came up with way back in CLASCO days.. we called it the “3 piece hose” assembly . At the time it was an attempt to come up with a more serviceable rear brake hose…. there were 2 hoses threaded into a center block. It worked well but still being rubber brake components would not lest more than 5-6 years. The last time these were available was in 1995 so yeah… these are now no longer reliable either so if you see this on your coach know you really should replace it.
We’re still in the middle of putting together our consignment coach for sale program here is a coach we had come in which will soon be featured in our for sale program. First lemme show you the pics I too then I’ll do some explanation……
Ok, As I’ve explained before, we will be stabling nice coaches for sale on consignment which means these are not our coaches rather these are GMC’s that are in good condition our customers have expressed a wanting to sell. These coaches will not be beaten up, old machines that are a “pig in a poke”. They will be here at the shop where prospective buyers can have surveyed and checked over making them a better reason to come and see. We will have many of these nice coaches for you to choose from.
Dale S. has owned this coach for well over 15 years, living up north this coach was not driven in the winter and garage kept all those years. Each year, Dale would drive it south and have us do whatever it needed. Today living in Costa Rica, he no longer drives the coach and understands it needs a new home where someone else can take over it’s maintenance and enjoy it as much as he has.
I’t a separate shower twin bed with a platform, Dale has made it to be a large bed in the back. Clean paint waxed and looking good, we have ust done a complete brake restoration. Has a new frig, Carrier roof AC, an Edelbrock intake, etc. I will put together a better list of things but the important issue on this coach is it has been maintained well and cared after. He’s asking $25000.00 and brother you could not build one like this for twice that price!
If you are interested in this we will have it back here in May so give me a call. As soon as our “For Sale” page is together you will see this one plus others. You can fly into Orlando Intl., we can pick you up to see this and other nice coaches for sale. Just wanted to put this one out there for you.
On that same note, here are 2 other coaches in this caliber we currently have at the shop:
Asking price $68,000
.Sorry, pic coming on Lou’s rear bath Royale…. stay tuned.
OK, it’s a Friday, looking like rain… we’re inside but the lift isn’t … yet. Will prove to be challenging… I’ll be in tomorrow so we’ll see ya then….
