Over the past several days, I’ve been talking Andy G. in from up north. Andy’s motor has had issues… a relative recent rebuild, it sure sounds to me like a cracked intake manifold. He could drive a bit….. motor lost power and would only idle. Let her cool down and woosh… it’s going. …. Takes a while to travel like that but last night we fired up the langing lights (the row of GMC’s) on the runway and “The Pickle” stopped at the end of the runway… sizzling like the Space Shuttle…. he made it!
So coming in to the shop there was a certain amount of excitement…. turn in to the shop and there it is…. Oops, lemme turn on the flash….
It’s “The Pickle”, a GMC gourmet food truck
I met Abdy and his truck a number of years ago at the Live Oak Bluegrass festival…. Everyone else there were serving ther usual funnel cakes, greasy deied stuff… you know… all that crap that gave you what you now have! Andy and the Pickle served high quality crepes and all kinds of good for ya food…. Janie made me eat with Andy every day!
My time to return a favor… the Pickle is sick and we’re the ones to help…….. it’s off to breakfast maybe, you’re welcome to come too Willie… Andy has your bunk…. I’ll be back after we break bread…
Naaaaa, I have to say I lied! Had such a fun time at breakfast then we got the Pickle up on the lift and from there the day is on…..
Gonna get a Manny tranny, quad bag and some other upgrades to increase his reliability. The coach has been a commercial “money maker” so it needs some updates and maintenance. The more you rely upon a coach the more important it is to keep your money maker “shakin…”
Maybe another video today we’ll see. After yesterday’s Christmas party I can tell the holiday season has set in somewhat. Can’t fight it…. givm a break for the holiday…. Going to be a good day… time to enjoy a little all the good things we have in our lives which I hope you too will do. We have to look at the good side of the orange as they say here in Florida….. try and live that way and at least it won’t be such a bad ride…… See ya tomorrow.
Miss being at the coop. Hope to be back soon. Thanks for all you’ve done and and the education. Willie
