GMC Motorhome: The dash AC systems are here…. Rby’s dash install begins

A really big red letter day yesterday……… The Elvises have all entered the building……. custom built for our application 12.19.17 morning 1

With the necessary due diligence of tear down, assets discovered and requirements made of the new dash AC/heat system…… the die was set and the first of what I think will be many of these systems begins…….. Our 3 lab rats all deassed from their old systems 12.19.17 morning 2 My skunk works laboratory is set up 12.19.17 morning 6 So it’s  “diver down” for me today!  I would have jumped right in yesterday when the shipment arrived but I had a new GMC owner couple come down from Jacksonville and I really felt it important to spend some time with them and their coach.  A descent survivor… there are issues but the first step of knowledge has been fulfilled….. they now know the things you didn’t know before…….. 1 air bag had cord showing and Mr. Generator works but produces no power…… good things to know….. but now my mission is clear and everpresent…..it’s time to focus!

We also have 2 of the FiTech fuel injections systems going in…. one in the blue Ford pick-up we delivered last week….. he loved it so much that fuel injection to run today’s fuels was a no brainer 12.19.17 morning 3.Of course it will certainly look cool on that motor  12.19.17 morning 4 but that’s not the reason……. this holds true for every ole red neck loose tolerance red blooded American performance V8 motor…… they are cannot effectively process the fuel formulation available today with the conventional fuel delivery system…. translated: Fuel today is designed to be compressed and mechanically vaporized through injectors…… it hurts me to put a “R.I.P” tombstone on them but the slippery slop has begun.  So the other system will be going into a GMC so stay tuned for that.

I’ve noticed several FI threads on Facebook and reading through the forums there are still coming together of information on how to best install them into a GMC.  Follow and I’ll show you our process.

12.19.17 morning 5  The guys took time yesterday to at least lay out the components of our new..to us… 2 poster lift….. Oh Boy!!!!!!  This is gonna make things even MORE fun!

It’s after 8 so I need to dive into Ruby…. don’t worry Cedric, the ole girl won’t feel a thing!

See ya tomorrow…….
