GMC Motorhome: The dash AC/heat system is in……..

With Jared,Jason and I on the project, the new system is in the dash.  First the big ole heater box had to come out.6 big bolts hold that box in…..as if I guess they thought it would fall out!  Hey but it’s gotta goand with that lug outa the way along with the hoses, lines and wires there’s a big hole made up frontNow modify the fire wall, build the new heater box this time out of aluminum and the new electric servo heat/cool module all gets mounted in place of the old oneccomplete with a new, hi capacity condenser.  On the inside of the coach, I had to all but strip out all the old vents, wires, etc. Of the old system to make room for the new stuff.  The Mac dash I installed 18 years ago…..WITH service loop wiring unplugged and was out of the way with no problems.  With the 4 outlet ducks coming into the dash from the new unit in its box, we have one vent for the passenger, 2 vents down the middle and 1 for the driverall routed through the dashand with the donut pad and Mac dash in the new digital control panel fit into the original location with a little helpthe new box connected up today we see if we get cubed and crushed ice…….stay tuned and we’ll see ya tomorrow……..
