GMC Motorhome: Thanks to some who pointed it out, I DO see a circuit change on the 1 wire alternator needs to be modified.

…………. Guess that proves I can make mistakes.  Thank you sirs for pointing to one issue that until last night no one had noticed, me included.  The updated alternator is nothing but good stuff and with a little work the huge feature of turning off the trigger wire circuit can be added to make things even more better.  If you want an upgraded alternator get yours remanufactured as a second design alternator, plug it in and your good.

The challenge with the really simple circuit change I did would allow current from the engine battery to flow to the living area battery.  Its not the alternator but the circuit.

Ok so give me a few days to give an update, I’m sure there will be many that have their circuits and that’s great……give me your best rig up……the fact still is the second design alternator is a better thing and I want to also turn off the trigger circuit…..lemme get back to you guys.

So see, I also can be corrected and I can acknowledge and correct my errors…..still the alternator change is good stuff.

Those that have the 1 wire set up have no fear, its like leaving your combine switch on……all batteries are connected and to be honest, unless I’m boondocking, I leave my combine switch on all the time so I have all my power everywhere, all the time………just how ya look at it but still, to some separating circuits may be what you want…….I’ll get back to ya

Guys, do me a favor, a couple of people sent messages to me about this to get me to think deeper…..I’m on the challenged side of all this social networking stuff so if you are one of those thanks for putting up with me, my biggest thing was I loved the second design Delco did, the circuit wasn’t that much of a biggie to me.  It needs a little more baking on that cake, let the others know …circuits can be wired all different ways so lets figure the best 1 for the 1 wire feature…….give me your thoughts…..

In closing today, look at the new toy we get to play withAlan S……..a GMC owner here locally retired from servicing these production reboots and picked 1 up salvage.  Runs on 3 phase 440…..I’ve got that!  Going to take a while I’m sure to get it talking but Wow, that’s neat!

Got my rat scooter up and running again…….save shoes for me around here!  See ya later

Nice to see you have so many things to play with, what the heck is that big orange device, and more info on the alternator situation. how about updates on customer projects like the 3 motors you are going to be testing in Mutcades? Weeks go by and I keep looking for some progress. Thanks
