So while the gears are turning on an all new Steering column and shaft assembly, it’s on to dash AC/heat project #2, Prototyping on Ruby, I’m using the dash in Texas Tux so I can gather knowledge to see if I can duplicate what we learned….remember there is a dash AC/heat #3 project that will carry on from what I’m doing now with even more experience. But for now we are now going to project #2 to see if it will be good to me like Ruby was.
You’ve been watching the pile of prep work that had to be done to get us to this place. It all came together yesterday for Texas Tux All the pieces/parts prewired, refinished, prepped and fitted, there wasn’t much left than to just put it in
A little more inspection and prewiring of the MacDaddy modules here is the lower left panel
Mac does a great job on wiring this illuminated panel
Check out that flexible illumination strip he uses to light up the legends above. As you can see, the original wiper control lever is reused. Oops, inspecting Texas Tux wiper control lever we found a crack in the &%$@@* pot metal they used to produce the lever…..stupid!
Se the crack in the one below….good thing I have another one…lovingly harvested from our donor stable!
Nothin left but to just put it in Today I’ll wire up the heater control system you can already see fitted to it’s second lower panel.
So today, this is my life Hey, call me unprofessional, I like working out of my homeless cart!
Got a doctors picking and poking at me this morning so we’ll see ya later……
Oh, one more thing…check out this “Real Honey” that passed me yesterday…….hey, it’s still goin! The pirate flag is a nice touch!!!!!!.
Last time I was there you spoke to me about engine oil for the 455 vs synthetic oil. I was trying to explain t and can’t. Can you touch on that again? oh and BTW: My brother purchased that coach in New Orleans….now you have two Gammon’s to put up with.
