Now on to as I said yesterday a good time for all…. another restoration is close to taking off. Yes, here is the coach outside feeling the heat of the sun for the first time….. fresh from getting it’s fuel injection system, take a few minutes and check these pics out and I’ll explain what you’re looking at as we go….. The light of the sunny day here in Florida washed the pics a bit but I think you will get the idea….. our visor mold, Ramco, ZipDee, Alcoa, Coleman Mach8
A Quad bag system at proper ride height… yes he has T skirts but I just like the look of it….. Oh, and a ZipDee full length window awning!
An original “GMC” spare tire cover with the bumpers color keyed dark brown to the lower rocker color.
LED top, side and running lights, a “thru bumper” hitch. Again, bumpers colored to the body with solid…. not cap….. bumper bolts for that clean fresh look.
Oh look, Savoy Brown took my spot outside the door! We’ll keep it on the outside now watching for water leaks and work on it from here Not complete, here is one section of the interior… the dinette table is made of “Avonite”, look it up… it’s bowling ball material! Seats are original frames with new foam and “pleather” vinyl done by our in house upholstery guy, ceramic tinted windows, our “bulb trim” window trim, laminate walls with pleather wrapped vertical valences.
Tomorrow I’ll see about showing more of the interior. Yes, we’re close Nancy….. stay tuned.
There’s so much more going on around here, we hope to get JD’s coach from the booth , in the light of day to see his paint. Here’s the coach before going to the booth laying out the stripes…. hey and lemme tell ya that arc that the drawing called for was tough! Front to back like that in an arc?
