GMC Motorhome: Neatness counts

Before we get into that, I wanted to let someone interested to know we have a Honda EV-4010 refurbished and ready to ship  3.23.18 morning 1 with a muffler and remote it’s $3000.  The EV-6010 that was finished up is going out today….we have 2 more 6010’s in process if you would like to put your name on one…….give me a call.

So yeah, neatness in wiring DOES matter, if you rig something up to “see if it works” so many times the rig may get taped, twist capped or my worst nightmare “Scotchlocked” together and that’s how that circuit is found 10 years later  Sheppard AC 50  This is the back of the main cluster panel from one of Mac McNeal’s older MacDaddy dash kits……with “custom” mods. From a look at the original Mac dash in this past GMC enthusiasts dash other than having way more gauges and switches allowed by law, nothing looked THAT bad  Sheppard AC 1 but then I opened up the first cover panel  Sheppard AC 6  Hooollly crap Batman!  Here is the same dash today, not rigged up showing also how more sophisticated and detailed he is today but the bit thing is there’s not all kinds of funky wiring and connections…things that should not be there Sheppard AC 49  But see that’s not the bigger problem…it’s what that harness was connected to  Sheppard AC 48.  You can see my green mask tape actually starting to heard the wire wad to one place.  The green and red connectors were somehow plugged into the main cluster…I say somehow because there is no slack on the wiring (service loop) where you could connect everything without reaching through that bundle on anarchy yo plug them in!  Here is the same harness after sorting and connecting up everything via a 24″ “service loop” harness made up as each circuit was rewired  Sheppard AC 47  The other panels need wiring today but this panel would operate laying in your lap driving the coach…the speedometer has not cable, it’s GPS driven!  Sheppard AC 46  When needed, this dash harness can be serviced, added to or modified easily and that can be neat and ordered too!  Moving on today I’ll be harnessing the other panels getting ready for the dash facelift ….stay tuned….. Sheppard AC 45

I need to cut this short today, I’m leaving early from work….ghosting out as the guys say……. for a little extended weekend.  Hey, you have to stay sane through all this……well at least try to!  Have a great weekend, go give your motorhome a hug and let it know you care……..we all need a little of that!  See ya Monday….

BTW, with all this mining of data we’re all finding out has been going on…I just wanted you to know this “Daily Pose Blog” was going on before there was texting, before Facebook and even before it was called a “blog” we were doing this page and I promise no information here will be used or be sold………I wouldn’t think Russia would care 2 beans about the things we obsess on…hey so come on here when you get lonely and scared……. all I look for in life is a safe place to go…Oh now the Trolls will come out……doesn’t is suck to have to put up with all of this, I liked it when a phone call was a big deal….no TSA, no Ethanol and all the ZDDP you could ask for packed in GM’s “EOS” run in oil.  No….all that’s no in our lives so here we are………
