So after living thru yesterdays break down of this mini-project (BTW, if you didn’t read yesterday do that first) So on with the unique 1973 #41 entry door…..You can tell as this coach was produced there were stinking things going on at the GM skunkworks trying to make this )&&%%^#$#$%^ motorhome door close! I bet u that’s how they felt. The door jambs were hacked several times …I can see where a cut was recut and cut again. You know…..sized it 3 times and it’s STILL too small! Go look at your entry door and remember what you see here
Kinda like Apollo 13……. “we have to fit these round pegs into those square holes….with these Oh, and remember yesterday I was saying the 1973 stainless steel adapter plates ere different than Ruby’s? Check this out, the stamped latch opening is the same… the bottom and sides of the plate are the same…the decorator logo is the same but the height of this aluminum plate is taller!
Did they make the right decision to drop the height of the adapter plate? There it is…history was made right here!
Hey and you welders take a look at Phillip’s handiwork….. I’d say6 rolls of dimes……maybe 7…….
With the butt jacked up, this coach is ready for it’s new holding tank along with Davis S. coach. Here’s the new rotomolded tank and the bits for the maserator system we’ll end up both installed with
Seeing this pile of stuff outside the coach door means Phillip is getting things ready to install the FitTech fuel injection system to the motor
That stuff is outa here!…stay tuned for more…..
And the sound system woke up in the green Ford Pickup yesterday . That’s the in dash AC controls under the dbl. DIN radio
Gotta have Bass so behind the seat we have a storage compartment behind the driver seat and 10″ Cerwin Vega sub behind the passenger seat Stay tuned for more……
Gotta go, stuff happening……see ya tomorrow.
