We’re now into paint stripe layout which of course is a pretty important thing on Bill’s 23′ coach. Using the laser line device the first line has the main line across the side Across the front and down the other side From this level line, the raccoon window treatment and the rest of the horizontal stripes will measure off. Today, Ray will get the red bagged off and the black base on. Stay tuned for more on this…
At the same time the guys are refinishing the roof on Tom’s Royale coach We are working hard to do this work faster but we can’t drop our quality. The roof pod, AC’s, vents and lights all must come off. There is leaking involved and simply bagging that stuff off is NOT the way You can also see we pull the side rails to reseal that #1 water leak before any paintwork. This groove is THE most susceptible leak point in your coach .Painting a roof without addressing this leak point is …well, not good! If you are getting your coach painted somewhere, ask them if they can reseal these rails as prep work before the coach is painted. If they have no idea what you are talking about or how to do it…. sorry but walk away.
For Tom’s benefit and maybe you…. here is the primary 12 vdc switching we recommend as safety and convenience. The left sealed marine battery switch controls the living area battery, the right switch is for the engine battery. The middle switch busses (ties together) both electrical systems so you can put battery power from any battery to any system… you can shut off all batteries for storage and combine all batteries for charging by your living area converter. Loose your alternator? Fire up your generator, flip on the “combine” switch and drive on…. with this system you do not need your alternator to charge the engine battery. This is a “countermeasure I strongly recommend. If you have more questions give me a call….
Man, isn’t that awesome??? Not the bike this time… check out the 17″ rim we’re fitting onto a GMC Yeah, I know you have a million questions…. how will that work! Stay tuned, we’re doing a build you just won’t believe!!
Yeah… it’s sortas busy around here. Out back we have Tom’s coach getting a set of new header gaskets and a few checks before it goes home for a while. This coach has been on consignment here at the shop ( www.NewSouthAutomotive.com ). Tom’s going to use the coach for a bit while folks look at it. A really nice machine at an awesome price… if you are interested in jumping in and get a GMC for your very own…. this is a nice one.
Honda generator, Alcoa Hot Shots, quad bag, 2 Pinguin roof AC’s, low profile KVH satellite system, new frig, what else…. crap for $35000 really ready to go? I’m telling you, this is a nice coach, several are thinking but it’s always the first bird gets that big worm!
Just heard a door slam… the day is on, my fun morning is over….. see ya tomorrow…!
