Calling this time of any restoration the “delivery” is sooo right on. JD told me it’s the same way with the military flight simulators he oversees …. doesn’t make that time any less traumatic! There have been so many upgrades…. so much was taken apart and put back together… I mean HOW do you doublecheck all of that stuff to be sure all is good…. just such a crazy time…. Hey… and calling that before time before the grand event “Labor”…. need I say more? We all feel it at the shop and when that adrenalin gets going in the team mannnnnnn, that’s agreat thing to be a part of. It’s no “when is lunch break?” crap…. it’s get-r-done time, it’s a part of everyones life and it needs to go well.
“Go Well” .. most do not birth easily, can you imagine natural child birth of a kid the size of 2 elephants? No, you usually don’t want to be there for what it takes to pop one if THESE out the door! So for the last say 5 days sorry but it’s all been about Corvey. BTW, it was named in tribute to the classic of all pace cars (arguably but stated by Wikipedia) the 2007 Indianapolis 500 Corvette I’d like to introduce to you
Corvey
From it’s “red line” rims to the Corvette “torch red” striping Corvey says I’m all in.
Even as the delivery was happening we knew this one was “bad to the bone” as George T. once wrote a song about
“The head nurse looked up…. … said leave this one alone.. she knew right away ….he was bad to the bone…..”
So JD was telling me there was a pool going at the waterjug WHEN or even WAS there a motorhome? OK boys, shell it out……. the one who persists gets the prize
