GMC Motorhome, another timing chain.. continued

Wow, yesterday was wild….. and today is where the roller coaster takes that last huge drop before it ends!!!!  I think for now, the best way to help you see what’s happening here is through taking pics opening up the shop in the morning.   So much happening that if I stuck to only one project the other folks are scared nothing else is happening.  So, remember those fake drama “reality show” mess we were all forced to watch… tell ya what, lemme give you some real life drama…….  today will be one like yesterday.  Here goes, stay up if you can…

The timing chain finally made it, I had them bring 2  6.23.16-morning-7  We normally keep one in stock but that one went into John’s motor.  Hey, must be a run on timing chains!  Anyway, there will be drama here today  6.23.16-morning-6  The radiator made it on time 6.23.16-morning-9 so at least that clock ticked out.  Now with the timing chain in the fury will begin.  I got his Onan generator started…. new fuel pump and his PC board was trash so we’ll set it up on our bypass run system.  Power the coil… bump the starter and she works…. I can do that with a switch and a 7amp fuse.  I’ll show you about that.

This *&^$#$%(((&^^ coach finally let go and we got the brakes flushed and bleed  6.23.16-morning-2  Had 2 issues confusing us… the new master cylinder was bad out of the box AND the combination valve was replaced in 2014 but started leaking.  MAN did that one throw me for a while…..   any opening in the system will not allow our 3 way bleed process to work  6.23.16-morning-1.  Always remember this… stay on your narrow path…. changing the process may not yield result you look for.  Stay on the path and do each thing in order… it will work… no black holes…..

So why did this coach have to stay over last night after contracting what seems like a serious vapor lock issue?  6.23.16-morning-5.  So just how long is that yellow brick road and where are we on it!!!!  Down from Michigan for a Disney week with their 4 kids, he seems to vapor lock really bad.  We checked the 2 year old fuel delivery system…. looks fine.  We added our aux. electric fuel pump to give him a counter measure when it happens again.  Heck, they got around the block and it did it again WITH the aux. pump on!!!  Crap, that’s not it…. now lets see it it’s NOT actual vapor lock….. gonna hook them up with a boat fuel tank and see if it stumbles again.    Yes and the problem is in the motor….no and we have a true fuel delivery problem…….. Stay tuned…..  See, this is REAL drama…. welcome to my world…

but wait there’s more!

We had to take Bill D. plastic compartment doors down to the plastic… there was so much paint build up and damage 6.23.16-morning-10  and look at the holes around the water heater  6.23.16-morning-11See what I mean…. we’ve got one pizza in the oven…. another one wants to come out still another pizza is being ordered but we’re not sure what toppings the customer wants.  Busy day and the pizza store!   The shop is packed with all sorts of things going on… limos buses GMC…. what a zoo  6.23.16-morning-4and their all waiting their turn at drama….. Oh stop it… this is too much fun… see ya tomorrow, I need to get out and play….
