Lets keep up…….our Holland contingent is finally ready to hit the road….the newer but old Onan generator is doing it’s go then stop a little thing…I see a Honda in their future but hey…..for the next 6 weeks or so, rock on guys this coach is ready to go……Bearings, brakes, quad bag, new bogy pins, tires and wheels,, under dash AC, Senyen compressor, FiTech fuel injection fresh tanks and hoses, windshields, batteries, dang what else…..production is happening
Oh yeah, LED headlights…….this looks to be now a pretty nice machine! The next delivery is now up on the lift….no lift work other than this can happen til this puppy is done The original transmission is out….good work brother, you did your job …..This original transmission with it’s original diff will be separated putting the diff on the new Monster transmission New 3/8″ cooler lines and all A fresh tranny…..FiTech fuel injection….replumbing of the fuel delivery system all need to be done NOW! This project is our problem child and with the guys on a 4 day schedule I cannot ask them for more. We have the maserator system and new hold tank in The new dash AC/heat system…rewired MacDaddy dash, new interior walls, headliner, front carpet, window treatment, reupholstered stuff, sound system. I’m point this out because as the example…we’re close but not there……the cake isn’t baked until it’s done……the main word here is done and that only happens when all projects are complete…and they are not! The fuel system is done up to the new fuel injection pump and filter but from there forward nothing. BTW, the pump is put here this way so it will be easy to change on the road….the #1 issue on any fuel injection system is the electric fuel pump. You need to be able to change this pump out on the side of the road……..you will leave here with 2 pumps, THAT makes the system reliable to me! But again…it’s not done. Please wish us well in this delivery and help the owner understand this frustration but it has nothing to do with what his motorhome needed…we never will do this again! One day to go…….crap!
Arthur is now focused on removing Marco’s dead 4K Power Drawer….She gave her best but for some time it’s been unreliable so finally it was time First is to go diver down to disconnect the original Onan cage Unbolt here, cut there…plug off the fuel line and there it is…outa there! She’s going to the Onan grave yard to languish with the rest of the pile. Now we deass the compartment…rotted wood, this huge steel battery box that was just waiting to short out the battery! With all the stuff out and cleaned we will now reinsulate the compartment with “1 pound sheet goods”. One square foot of this chrome mylar composit open cell foam and hi-mass nylon is designed to absorb the sound of whatever generator Marco will go with down the line…This part will be ready Take 1 sheet of this material (4×8′) ……cost of $190 plus shipping to properly insulate a generator compartment properly…stay tuned for more on this project.
I’ve gotten a couple of post asking to keep up with all the pics of different stuff we’re doing…said they liked seeing the different projects. OK, I’l do that a little more but still, I think talking about new stuff and explaining issues folks ask about will still play a major part here. If you have any comments please let me know..if it’s something you would like to share personally hey, you know to get a hold of me.
So there ya go…no one sitting around here! Timetables are for trains……. stuff gets done well on it’s own time…the trick is to wait tim one is done before you can do the next……have a great day..thanks for the visit and your support.
