A needed add on for your coach ( updated)

We always seek to offer “countermeasures” or backups to key systems in you coach.  You need help keeping an antique motorhome viable on the road do when there IS an issue there is somewhere to go other than Capt. Hook.

Recently there was a thread on Facebook discussing an issue I feel everyone should consider…….we do on every restoration.

If your entry door is jammed shut and will not open for a pile of reasons you will have a hard time getting the inside metal plate off to access the latch mechanism without taking these 4 screws out which will be in the door jamb when the entry door is shut.   Ask me how I know!  On all restorations we now cut an opening in that harder than woodpecker lips inside metal plate putting an access covered over If you ever find yourself in such a situation.   Backup plans like this are important…let me know if u need more.

Well, the Texas Tux delivery is done…..I’m off to Monster Transmissions for Sid and tranny…..I’ll give u guys more later when I get back…..see ya then

(Update)

An hour an 1/2 ride to pick up 1 of the 2 trannys Monster has for us. This transmission is as good as it gets. Performance built proper low stall Allison style converter…..$2695 with a 3 year warranty and reduced shipping rates through R&L .

Getting back Phillip and Nic have 2 more motors broken down ready for the machines shop.  Opening up one you could see the spun bearing and the associated metal filings.   Susan’s motor ran up on the ground getting ready to go in its hole.    ok I’ll stop but its just so fun!Moving day in the big house with our next to go out ready for its big push.  Ruby is on deck…..

We’re cleaning up today, Texas Tux is out headed home then to the GMCMI convention in Amana Colonies next week.  If you are going look up Tom H. and Texas Tux.    That’s about it for today.  It all picks up tomorrow…..see ya then
