What to do if you really would like to dress up your dash but a MacDash is not in the tea leaves…….. you’re not totally out of the water. Hey, everyone may not like the Mac-look and I appreciate that. Back in 1997 when we opened many dashes were being done this way. Still, it’s a good look and as you see, I still do dashes like this .This is a late model 77 with an aftermarket lower dash closeout most mount more gauges and switches. This uses the CNC cut brushed aluminum bezel overlay. The original chrome trimmed plastic bezel has the “genuine vinyl woordgrain ” insert removed then the bezel is painted satin finish trim black. With 2 aftermarket gauges added between the 2 large original clusters a small tach is strapped ontp the steering column giving a very nice instrument display If you are interested to do this to your dash, the brushed aluminum overlay is $75.
On the other new dash projects, #3 dash is now ready for it’s cosmetic finish With the new ATC fuse panel wired in, next is the stretching new original color vinyl onto the passenger dash pad We have the first battery back installed to harness for electrical checkout as well…as soon as the passenger pad is covered we go into hi gear installing the refinished MacDaddy main dash panel…… We have a new idea on this finish so stay tuned……..
Another wounded soldier comes on with Capt. Hook. This is a forward trop over the road trailer….a very nice ride When you make the decision to bring a coach back to the road it’s really important to not further risk damage. yes it’s a average of $4 per mile but that could save big bucks if the coach hurt itself coming in.
So “Elvis” has entered the building….first step next week will be a mechanical review, a 5 page A,B,C rating of key mechanical systems in the coach. From there, a target is set for the mechanical aspects of the restoration. Mechanical is always first going in on a full restoration. Pulling the coach off the front drop trailer, Kenny helps spot the process…..it’s home and we can help out from here….stay tuned on this new project….
3 projects are scheduled to leave in the next 10 days, next week the stand-by projects may get their intake schedules………. We have so many folks wanting work we are throttling back intakes to be fair to projects in process…….stay tuned.
We made it! It’s Friday, even WITH one of our key team players on vacation we still got a pile of work done…….I want to thank them all here for stepping in. It’s amazing how much can be done when professionals work together. “One Ranger” workers are only as good as what they can do alone…… a team can get so much more quality work done. Sounds simple but it’s been a struggle for us to get to this point…….we’re here and we’re have great successes and always fun!
Thank you for your support, as we get more popular you attract Trolls. Oh sure, I have a few….it’s funny how simple minded some folks are. You get things done through working together not from stressing other out, arguing and trying to take advantage of others. I look at it as a badge of honor……..I know the quality of the work we are doing and damn proud of it.
Have a great day, a great upcoming weekend ….make the most of it all….we will…….
