"Automatic" means our systems have a heat sensitive "thermal" triggering device similar to that in a commercial office building "automatic" fire suppression system. When the heat in the area reaches the threshold of the sensor, the fire suppression system is released and you are protected from whatever heat source has caused the problem. No switches, no deployment procedure, if you have heat in the compartment, you have fire protection-- it's just that simple!

2 liter system is charged with 2 liters of AFFF foam with nitrogen as a
propellant. Designed specifically for the engine compartment in the
vintage GMC motorhome is a perfect automatic fire suppression system for other
smaller compartment vehicles. With it's remote from the cylinder head and

o Yes, you should not be in a room where Halon is released, it will "smother" you like it does the fire! Just 5% will not allow a fire to breath.
o Until it is no longer available, Halon is a great fire fighting aid.

o All of these systems are easy to install, just locate it's bracket in the compartment and snap the unit in place. The tank mounted gauge lets you check to be sure the unit is charged and ready for use.
Information on AFFF "Foam" fire suppresant
We are soon introducing "AFFF"
(* aqueous film-forming foam)
automatic fire suppression systems for the RV industry. This
chemical, like Halon, is not corrosive and will not damage expensive coach
wiring or make a mess that cannot be cleaned up. It is the new thing in
fire suppression, over Halon, AFFF will stay on the fire area to keep the fire
from reigniting if the heat source still exists. Over the already widely
accepted Halon gas, this water soluble chemical stays on the area keeping hot
spots from reigniting, this is a huge advantage
in engine and generator compartments that hold heat even after a fire is out.
A reignited fire is what took this coach.
Hot transmission fluid dripped onto the hot areas and continued burning even after the fire fighters got the
flames out-- there was nothing they could do! This is some exciting news
and some exciting product-- stay tuned for more on this new fire suppression
system rollout.
*Aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) . This synthetic foam has a low viscosity and spreads rapidly across the surface of most hydrocarbon fuels. A water film forms beneath the foam which cools the liquid fuel, which stops the formation of flammable vapors. This provides dramatic fire knockdown, an important factor in crash rescue fire fighting.
