Co-op 2.0 moving day

Shot out of that Christmas cannon into the aftermath, it was a good one to remember for us.  I have enough room to get all of my riding herd under cover, have an indoor archery range and not be in the way of anything else in the room!  Built during the Cuban missile crisis in 1961, this building was built for an X-Ray chemical supply company so I think it could be a suitable hurricane evacuation shelter!  Prestressed concrete beams and columns, a new rock roof, block wall construction with 6′ high window sills, 600amp service, 2 AC systems, raised above grade with 11 outside 50amp boxed and secured outlets….. it’s a fortress  First-in-8  First-in-9   If you are caught in a bad weather situation in Florida.. come to the high point in the center of the state and to this building!   All we need to do now is to move 18 years of accumulated GMC stuff 100 yards….  I’m already tired!  Hey, I’ve got my stuff in my-vehicle-collection-1 but now we need to move… the trim shop!  These were the first 2 rooms I started with in 1997… bet there’s gold under that pile!

But you see here is the real goal, none of that mess comes over as it is in fact, before any of THAT is touched, our new trim shop must be cleaned to the point that when we move in things will be and stay clean, neat and ordered…… Wow, what a concept!  Those of you who have been here know the mountain we’re bout to climb!  Today wel will be scrubbing the floor.. the walls… the windows till there is no dirt….  How can I survive that…. lets see but we are never looking back.  Folks have politely said “overlook the shop and look at the work”…. brother THAT is gone!  This will be one of those squeeky clean shops you see on TV…. “can’t work in there.. a clean shop is a sign of no work”, it’s that’s anywhere true, it will be a welcome challenge.

So if you call in today, you may need to leave a message or listen to the recording and call me on my cell phone.  I’ll have it with me along with rolled up pants legs… old wet clothes along with a bunch of other guys in the same condition! Bet this will make for some great pics… come back tomorrow and watch 2.0 come into being…

Oh yeah, I left you guys hanging on the turbo diesel install…. With the mortot, trans and 273 diff installed and running, Manny will be sending us the 1 ton front suspension kit for Hank to install as the new front steering and suspension is installed into the front frame clip.  Said last we’re looking at @ 10-15 extra hours labor to adapt the Chevy Trubo Diesel drive train into the original bare frame.  Now we’ll be documenting the rest of the install to come up with a completely operstional front clip before it is mated to the coach.  Loading that information (parts and labor) to the rest of the documentation should give us a better pic as to the final cost of the project.  Stay tuned for that.  We’re mooving too so hang with us… we’ll get it….
